There was so many things to say but I'll just leave them unsaid! Agree with MB, nice base forming I think. Mark, there was a donkey in the hotel room but it was being ridden by Max. Very upsetting... No, that was Mr. Ed to you and shipped in by Amazon prime BTW.. Seriously, the only other living being that knew about this was the donkey. Chas, who knew? ;D Lovey is gong to kill us when she gets back. ;D Chas, Madmax riding a donkey in a hotel room, my question, what the hell were you doing in there? ;D

Mark, I'm glad you got some good deals, but please, for the love of God, do not refer to (let alone post any pics of) any sexy items you may have bought yourself. I mean, I'm a Libertarian, but Jesus, TMI! TMI! TMI! Ha, jealous of my great figure. ;D Good one BTW, just prepare yourself for when I get an opening. You do not exactly have a good track record poking fun at me. ;D Game on.

Well, shipping my Vette from New Hampshire to LA in enclosed transport cost just south of $2K. And that took like 9 days, not Prime 2-day shipping. Corvettes are made in Kentucky, whats up with NH? I knew that chiseling SOB took the circuitous route to run up the tab! Actually, bought it from a NH dealer, end of the year to get a better deal, who advertises on the Corvette forums and gives huge Internet discounts. I got mine loaded, with enough of a discount for the shipping costs to be a wash vs. local dealers with comparable cars (actually, I got more options my way). Also, it was never even test driven, and kept in a climate-controlled building at the dealer, instead of baking outside in the Cali sun for who knows how long. But now, on the eve of the C7 release, I am starting to feel old and busted. Go AAPL, and bring us Mercel's car thread!

I think there is a lot more they can do with it though. I do not miss mine. It has been gone for 4 months and Tammy complains about it being gone, but I miss my Tahoe more than my vette. I guess my need for speed is finally going away.

Not sure why the Asian markets are outperforming our markets?

Went to complain about the noise. Donkey brays, disco music, incoherant yelling about coiled springs, TA, EW, SMA, EOs, manipulation, Henry B. can $* my blog, etc. Not pretty.

I have a co-worker who took factory delivery and then drove it home. We watched him almost every step of the way on the webcams they have set up all over the place at the factory!

while paying 1.5% per year on the margin. Wow! How do you manage that? Price matching when threatening to leave, and being a valued customer that has at times borrowed a lot, for better or worse. Interactive Brokers has low rates, and my broker matched them. But my old neighbor, they apparently would call him up anytime they had a promotion going, like free gold <edit- oppps, that's golf> clubs or a Wii when moving over X amount. He had a private business and a $120k Mercedes (though on payments), so I guess he had some cashflow to take advantage of those deals. Like dealing with options, margin has a whole deal of issues, psychological, monetary, and otherwise. But if you are already using margin, it's well worth it to talk to them and see if you can get a better rate. I think normal rates are 6 or more points higher (600 basis points). I had already had them lower them once, but down to this low of a rate just makes it hard to not borrow......which again can have some big issues, and is something I need to get away from or have a backup plan in the next 6 months.

Traffic control has reserved runway 588 tomorrow for Apple Air. Strange thing, there must be some fog in the forecast as I see at the opening bell they're going to head for the wrong runway, either 585 or 595 for the first 30 minutes or more, kinda like they're trying to fake out some people. Then just a bit of an overcorrection past 590, but finally with some stability that last hour into 590. A bit of a breeze might take it down 5 points though.

I know it's a bit off-topic, but the preposterousness of AMZN's zero-(or less)-margin business model, and the sad irony of WS rewarding it, is a regular meme here. And this little gem just freaking boggles the mind: Testing the Limits of Amazon PrimeI've been wanting a gun safe. I should buy through Amazon just to spite them. I've bought $3 batteries and got the Prime free shipping. I felt guilty, but thought that was nothing compared to their outrageous PE...

Not sure why the Asian markets are outperforming our markets? The US markets seem to be oscillating wildly based on a overreaction to any politicians useless lip flapping about the fiscal talks. They all just need to shut the F up when they don't have anything substantial to say.
