Down slightly in PM.
The charts from Travis would indicate that 585 is a price for week's end that could be expected to occur....but when has Apple ever traded flat for three days.....

This was out yesterday (note the date) and I was hoping that it would be written off by yesterday's afternoon swoon.

This was out yesterday (note the date) and I was hoping that it would be written off by yesterday's afternoon swoon. It's raw meat for the bears. I've given it a 4 star "Ed Zabitsky" rating. Sorry for the repost. Here's a link to refute the premise that MSFT is getting its act together. tech.fortune.cnn.com/2012/12/04/mary-meeker-2012-internet-trends/

I think it is all "special dividend" stocks until Thursday afternoon. Will this stock or that one have a "special dividend"? AAPL will not have a special dividend.
AAPL may just trade technically with low volume.
What say you?

I disagree! I don't believe NPD is able to measure Apple sales through Apple stores.

Not sure I'm in the mood for another swoon. Staring outside the window looking for Santa so we can commence a Santa Claus rally. Did the rally monkey croak? How about crap and gap today?

It's always these boutique firms nobody ever heard of that try this shit to try to make a name for themselves. And Windows 8? Really? There are threats out there, but Windows isn't one of them, unless you are talking about threats to Microsoft.

Honestly, I won't be surprised if we give back half of the move from 505. We did so on our initial bounce off 522 in May. Now just debating whether I want to make some moves or not. Favoring holding on.

I am getting so tired of these gap days. It seems like every day is a gap in one direction or the other. i know the SEC is useless, but dang this is irritating. We lost the 8 day, I am sure Redler is probably going short now.

I had a friend who was shopping Sunday for a tablet. He looked at a surface and an iPad. Then he sends me a text "Surface or iPad?". In the end he bought an iPad.
While in Mr. softie's (doesn't deserve a capital s) store taking the subsurface for a test drive, he asked the "Genius" to demo watching some NBC news video. The employee said he was not able to due to their being only one Internet connection or something like that. My friend tells me the subsurface did a Sinofsky freeze during his demo.
Good thing Balmer is bald as it will be easier for heads to roll.

Well that did not take log for the market to sell off. This just sucks.
BTW, there is a door at 572 and I am scared as hell what is on the other side.

Well that did not take log for the market to sell off. This just sucks. Don't take this the wrong way, but why do you watch the minute by minute movements of the market? I feel like you're just causing yourself a lot of stress here.

Your comment mirrors what I posted elsewhere: "Windows 8? Really?" The author is attempting to prop up Microsoft and Nokia -- the homie.

Apple slid 8 weeks and dropped $200. It recovered almost half that in a week. Today is not totally surprising to me. I think Apple starts to move for FQ1 '13 anticipation after expiration of December monthlies.

The part at the bottom where he explains the sum of the parts, in 2020 he gives AAPL a market cap of 380 billion and proclaims that 45% of it will be in cash. WOW. He expects Apple to only generate 40 billion in cash over the next 7 years. I am sorry Per, your math does not hold up to the smell test. If we go conservative with 30 bil/year over the next 7 years that gives Apple 210 bil + the 121 they have now which equals 330 bil. His analysis is 100 pages and all anyone needs to read is the fact that his math is extremely faulty. Read the site, they "specialize" in Norway.
