(My first post in the new home, which I'm -thoroughly- enjoying... And with a custom ProBoards app, which is excellent, too? TMO, stand back and don't be trampled a couple of hundred times as everyone left)
Pogue's review annoyed me - his bit about people with accessories (plural) needing to spend money on adapterS (plural).
Brian S. Hall, on his outstanding blog, said the same kind of thing yesterday.
Does anyone have any common sense? You need one (1) adapter per iPhone 5; not one adapter per accessory; if money is a problem.
Anything beyond that is optional.

Had a quick look at AAPL's daily chart and noticed volume has dropped every day since the 12th. May be time for the stock to take a breather. We'll see how it opens ... right now futures still a little red

The ProBoards app just crashed with a buffer overflow as I was getting near the end of a long post. Everyone be warned....! (it's all gone now, I'll have to thumb type it over or use a "real" computer to be safe...sigh)

Suggestion - I find that people often post the same articles over and over again because they didn't look at an earlier post. Yesterday the same article was posted three times on different pages. Maybe a quick look at what you may have missed when checking in would avoid that. In all fairness - I have been an offender in the past but have tried to get better at it in order not to waste the time of others.
This is just a suggestion -- don't jump all over me on it...just my opinion.

So, is there general agreement that AAPL gets pinned to $700 this week and then next week may be another story (upside)?

(it's all gone now, I'll have to thumb type it over or use a "real" computer to be safe...sigh) The app is great, but certainly has some quirks. Yesterday, it told me I had a new PM. It showed me an old one twice, and the new one was no where to be found. Had to go to the web site to read the new one.

I use Google Maps all the time when I drive or for a million other reasons...not happy about this review saying that the new Apple Maps sucks Using it while you drive is a bad idea…if you use it before you drive, you can get the directions on Google Maps from a workstation and mail it to your phone. The Google Maps experience on Mobile Safari seems okay for getting directions. While driving, I use GPS Drive with voice directions, a purchase and an upgrade. I don't like its speaking behavior compared to my old Magellan, but it doesn't break as often as the power adapter board on those things. I mainly use Maps when walking or on the train to check how far I am.

Corollary: short lines means bears move in. The line theory was not strongly supported with the 4S release, as I recall

Just a little snapshot on an interview that just took place on CNBC regarding AAPL for those interested:
Eric Jackson on CNBC being interviewed by Melissa Lee and David Faber. Questioned on Steve Jobs and TC - Jackson said Jobs finger prints on products out for the next ten years. Questioned on biggest risk: said it will be pricing - how will it work in China, India, the rest of Asia, etc - we will see what happens but this to him is the biggest risk. Questioned on the model by Lee and he responded that the model exists and that any new product is gravy so his target is based on ONLY existing products. His best guess on seeing an iTV is by next June (2013) Carl Quintanilla commented that even the AAPL current TV (which he owns) is the biggest bang for your buck - said it's amazing even as it currently is. Jackson thinks $1,650 in 3 years (2015)

iPad, MB still has an outstanding request to add closing prices and price changes to each Intraday topic. Tried it last night. Looked messy. Will try again tonight.

Not sure I like the thread-per-day, because I saw some things from later last night that I'd like to respond to, but no "quote" button. Oh well, we'll all be giving a try this week and see how it goes.
Anyway, my first response goes to Gregg:
Yes, 1-2% from $700, in other words $686-$693. That looks unlikely now, but given the EO manipulations and the OI at $690 and $700, and the random-walk nature of minute-to-minute prices, it wasn't outrageous. BTW, to be clear, I was talking an intraday touch, not a closing price.
As far as you picking on me personally? Well, I think it would take an almost deliberate misreading of your post to feel picked on or insulted. Not only am I not a thin-skinned person looking for an excuse to whine, I look forward to your posts. Not only are they usually informative and often packed with specifics, it seems that (despite my recent posts re entry points) that you are doing successfully what I am trying to learn to do.
Which brings me to this: interesting information about your trading activity and if you'd be willing to share more info about how you're determining your exit point and ROI, I'd love to hear it.
EDIT: In the list of reasons AAPL might decline, I meant to add profit taking, and psychological barrier of $X00.

Here is another use of the iPad. It is now being used as a GAMBLING device by the state of Minnesota. This is a really big deal. Probably 100s to 1000s of iPads in Minnesota alone in one year. It is an electronic pull tab device. I personally hope the concept fails. Lotteries give a gambler a adrenalin rush once a day, or once or twice a week. Paper Pull tabs give a gambler a high about once a minute. Electronic pull tabs can give a gambler a high about three or four times a minute. www.sctimes.com/article/20120919/NEWS01/309190008/St-Cloud-bar-debuts-e-pull-tab-games?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|Umbrella

I worked for a subsidiary of Enron during its demise. Enron was run by crooks who created fantasy assets. Apple's cash is no fantasy. BTW, anybody need a copy of Enron's ethics handbook? It's still in the shrinkwrap...unused.

And I don't know if this is the proper place to express it, but I think the new site is a huge improvement over "living in the basement" at TMO. We're even more active here and the application allows the admins the freedom to do a lot of good things.
Another good thing that has come out of the dust up is that I was finally compelled to join the Braeburn Group. Certainly not as much fun, but the information is invaluable.

Sold 5 of my 20 Sep 680 calls yesterday for 20.10. Got my investment back and am riding the remaining 15 for free. Will sell 5 more today when/if AAPL hits 704/705. If I see a bullish trend, I'll test my luck with the remaining 10 till Friday.

Having poured over most of the reviews of both iP5 and iOS 6 it's pretty clear the new Maps app is not yet the equal of Google Maps. The major shortcoming of the old Google-based Maps was the lack of turn-by-turn directions. The iOS 6 version fills that gap. It may not be on par with Google Maps yet, but something is better than nothing. Street view is another loss that may affect some people. We'll have to wait and see if the 3D maps can effectively match street view in the long run.
