I would rather Apple hoarded the cash versus the market pissing it away. How about they give it to me in a special dividend, and I promise to hoard it and not piss it away? Do I trust you?!?!?! Last dividend you got, you tanked the stock 200 points!!!!

ERIC SCHMIDT comes across as a little arrogant here: The company avoided about $2 billion in worldwide income taxes in 2011 by shifting $9.8 billion in revenue into a Bermuda shell company, almost double the total from three years before, filings show. Governments in France, the U.K., Italy and Australia are probing Google’s tax avoidance as they seek to boost revenue. Schmidt said the company’s efforts around taxes are legal. “We pay lots of taxes; we pay them in the legally prescribed ways,” he said. “I am very proud of the structure that we set up. We did it based on the incentives that the governments offered us to operate.” The company isn’t about to turn down big savings in taxes, he said. “It’s called capitalism,” he said. “We are proudly capitalistic. I’m not confused about this.” Perhaps we can discuss in the Dungeon which candidate this (supposedly) pro-capitalism, low tax, supply-side guy supported in the last election?

The Fed committed to another trillion in QE today, and in return we got a rally of 8 points on the S&P for about an hour. Ever get the feeling that QE no longer has the effect on the market it used to? Was wondering the same since QE3 in September did nothing.

It's like a drug - you build a resistance and then it does nothing. The market is looking for a stronger "high" - resolution in DC

Is anyone watching the 12-12-12 Concert? Pretty awesome. Yes, Clapton was awesome. Although kind of ironic playing Crossroads, about making a deal with the devil, at a Sandy benefit. #Christie #Obama. Dave Grohl and McCartney playing together should be interesting.

Waters was amazing. This is great so far, seeing everyone come together. I hope congress is taking notes.

Clapton was great...so were many of the others...Pink Floyd....lots of great guitar playing..gotta go watch Jagger swagger...... By the way, front row of the concert looks like a viagara ad!

I knew the Who would play Who Are You, one of my favorite songs by them since I was like 10, set in NY.

new version of google maps is live in App Store. vastly improved. if apple was sneaky, maybe they used a tricky way to force google to give iOS the good version of maps? includes turn by turn.
