Interesting looking at the weekend thread stock numbers for the past 6 weeks: aaplfinance.proboards.com/board/11/weekend-updates-.46 +17.01 -.46 +10.05 -1.51 +11.56 I guess it just seemed like this week was better than ever, since it was punching through new highs and trailing P/E levels not seen in a long time. Given this, maybe this week will be light or slightly down, while the moves get digested. Or maybe, with summer ending and new iPhones coming, AAPL will keep moving along in the positive direction. Either way, it's been a fun ride this last month.

Well I had a fun weekend. On the way to a wedding in Mt. View I discovered I had enough time to stop and check out the spaceship in Cupertino. Very cool and highly secured. One can see very little from visitor center. Clearly they will create some very amazing products there. Bought an Apple shirt.
Then on the way to wedding venue, drove thru Google campus. My friend who works for them gave me a little insight about their growth plans and construction of their version of spaceship.
But the highlight of the day was when I sat at the reception table with A guy who simply said he was in finance. After talking to my son it became clear he was hiding the fact that he was CFO of a tech firm. Solar company. After further inquiry he disclosed he was former CFO of Tesla. He said he was happy he left and has crazy stories of his time there. We chatted a little but he was very guarded in what he wanted to say. Clearly he was not happy with the ethics Elon.

Nice post Sponge ! The name of the solar company is Enphase and his name is Eric Branderiz. He was CFO of Tesla for 16 months and before that he was with Solar City. We talked about Apple and did not see them buying Tesla because in his view they don’t want to build the whole car themselves but subcontract. He also confirmed that the issues they are having is not due to lack of batteries but rather manufacturing process. The impression I got is that he does not seem optimistic about their future. The press said he left for personal reasons, but I suspect he was fired because he did not like the way they were dealing with reporting. Given that I know his faith background, I am confident he is more ethical then most corporate executives. By the way both he and his wife own Tesla’s and iPhones. He was very encouraging to my son about finding work in that area since he will graduate with computer engineering next year.
