The small correction I anticipated looks like it may be early. Freed up some cash and will be ready on Thursday to buy some puts. I don’t think Trump will start the 25% tariffs March 1. He will claim enough progress in talks that they will only go up 10%. The market will still correct but not that much. The NAFTA deal was a joke. I agree with Democrats that it does not do enough to encourage manufacturing here. So I think Trump will blink with the Chinese but before they show him a little more hurt in the market. I see aapl down to about 154 by middle of March. June is where the real pain will start. Thank you Sponge for your hourly predictions.

No the reason for it to be down. They have the best technology right now. Face ID is very impressive after using it on my iPad Pro. The camera on the Max and XS is very good as well. The OLED screen is very sharp. Well, that was an uncharacteristically *positive* post...hmm...who are you, really...and how did you hack sponge's account? Jekyll&Hyde is back ...

TURMOIL As one who worked at very large corporations, I can say: The head of Human resources is a certain kind of person. The VP of retail is a certain kind of person. In a large corporation, they are never the same person. As a retail person, Angela was a fashionista. She was great for that. As the head of HR Dierdre must be great. there was turmoilI love me some twitter. I follow news folks. I also have "lists". A list on twitter allows you to follow certain folks involved with certain jobs or interests. I call up a certain twitter list to see the current tweets about that subject. I have a list on weather. It has everyone I can find who tweets with knowledge on SAINT PAUL weather. I have lists on: MLB Twins, local news, local traffic and others. I have a list on retail employees. The retail employees regularly tweet about their customers and bosses. there was turmoil.So...trust you again. If you have tweets that discuss why she was fired, or if you even have tweets supporting the implication that she was fired, once again I would ask that you simply post them and let others decide if the extent of the "turmoil" is something we should worry about. I am happy that you have lists. I am happy you have lists about weather in St. Paul. I am happy you have lists on retail employees. So far none of this says anything about her being fired. Your evasiveness, however, says quite a bit. So, very simply, did you consult your list of retail employees, read their twitter, and read anything specifically about her being fired? If so, what exactly did you read? IMWTK

Maybe you should add Tim Cook to your Twitter account Artman. "Tim Cook Verified account @tim_cook Follow Follow @tim_cook More A bittersweet set of announcements today. Angela, we thank you for all you’ve done to inspire and energize our teams. Deirdre, we can think of no one better to lead our stores and all of Apple’s people in their mission to change lives for the better." Even at the largest corporations people that are FIRED leave that day belongings in hand and not with words of thanks. Do I think Tim argued with her when she expressed a desire to move on? I do not. She's done about as much at Apple as she would be allowed to do. No control over product in the stores. Store design being part of Jonny Ive's purview. I'll bet she's bored as hell. Just my penny. . There's also this as Gruber pointed out from the Vogue interview. "“I loved fashion for 40 years. It is wonderful when you know everything there is to know about the industry, because you grew up in it. “I’ve been gone from London almost five years. I have two kids there — they were at university when we moved and they decided to stay. My son is a budding musician with an honours degree in song writing and my daughter has an honours degree in marketing — she works for a start up magazine and he does gigs round London and writes great music! I miss them, obviously. It’s such a great city and we try to make it back as much as we can. But California is not so bad!"

I've been watching the race to the bottom in quality and costing for at least 10 years now. This includes the manufacturer I use to sell. It sucks. No thanks. My iPhone X is stellar. Please Apple. Keep following your own path. Cheap crap will always be just that.

“Your evasiveness, however, says quite a bit.” And bud, your attitude speaks volumes. Please tell us why this is in anyway important to you, and please show all supporting documents.

Thanks for asking Dave. Given the revenue revision last quarter i am concerned about the stability of the management team. If there is any actual documentation, eithr in tweets or insider knowledge i would see it as a red flag. On the other hand, if thus was simply her moving on as it appears then it is a non event. The claims of turmoil implied that there was a problem.
In response to your request for documentation, i would point out that i was not making a claim simply asking for more information. I asked several times without getting information. You can review the thread and see the entire discussion. I apologise if my request offend you. There is a possibility that people are influenced by this forum and i feel that we need to be responsible in what we write.
I have no problem with differing opinions. I am simply asking that we clearly separate opinions from facts. In this case the claim that she was fired was presented as fact. I have not yet seen anything justifying that. In fact subsequent interviews seem to ondicate the opposite

My cousin is a physician and my buddy sees many Apple employees at church. There is much turmoil there because of the stress and deadlines . Lots of travel for many engineers which makes it hard on their families. The pressure to sale billions worth of products is quite intense.
My son who is about to graduate with a degree in computer engineering has been told by alumni that have worked for Apple that there is lots of turnover. People work for them as a stepping stone.
I was hoping those issues went away but it apparently is not getting better.

This is typical of tech companies, and perhaps most large companies. Stress is just part of the job.

Companies have shown no loyalty to workers, and the workers have learned to show no locality in return.. as they say, Karma’s a Bitch. Think of how many companies you have worked for and then how many your parents and grandparents worked for.. The jobs/talent marketplace is now every man/woman for themselves!
