Get a life Platon, you sound like a complete tosser.
Giving orders again? You might qualify for a thread in your name someday, of course it will always be the case that you are 2nd fiddle to Firestorm. You don't have a clue about my life and I don't care about yours. Now if you would just make a substantial post about Apple we would be back on topic, or you could move this to the Dungeon. I have tossed a few, I am an IPA fan, are you?
By the way Sponge saved me a lot of money a while back, I closed out my Apple stock holdings except for the shares that I have that I have no cost in. I probably won't get back in for the time being as I am waiting to pick up some more AMZN if it makes my target.
Now your talking Platon... i’ll toss a few IPA’s with you any day.
I will continue this in the Dungeon feel free to criticize.
The dungeon is a great place for this.
Several members brought up their worry over a thread titled for a member, feeling he was personally being attacked. Incidentally, the member didn't seem to much care, and was just avoiding it.
Given that there are already political threads in the dungeon, it seems the easy solution is to lock down the named thread, but leave it around.
As has been stated repeatedly, the dungeon is a great place for political and other stuff that doesn't stay on topic enough for the intraday thread.
Thank you for being rational about it. I have no problem with locking the thread but would like to see it left in place as there are numerous posts that offer good explanations of political events that some might find useful in referring to while discussing politics. I am a political person and since Wall Street is a political construct by free people to risk their money, I find it hard to separate the two. As does Firestorm for opposing reasons. The thread was never about Firestorm as a person, it was designed to be a place where we could refute what he said in the intraday without disturbing other members. There could easily have been a thread designed to refute what JD or I said in the intraday, created by Firestorm and I would have reveled in it. I am not trying to convert anyone but I don't believe in being forced to agree, especially in the arena of politics. I always "try" and let others set the tone of the debate and "try "to respond in the same vein, of course while avoiding vulgarities. I have spent a couple of days going over the posts in the aforementioned thread and feel I did a pretty good job of that for the most part. If someone finds a post where I strayed from that, post the page number and time and I will review it, and either explain it or apologize for it.
mercel: It's been a long strange trip - good to see you're still around (and in AAPL -my assumption).
