Nice biased sentence. I wonder what policies those might be. Apple is very happy with the new tax laws that the President signed and Obama was against. But, sorry Tim, no increase in H1B's that put American workers out of jobs and make the visa holders indentured servants. Tim uses emotion to claim it's about "dreamers" but its really about H1B's who are a lot less sympathetic.
Regardless, great to see the CEO of Apple have a good relationship with the president, whoever it is.

There's that dip I was thinking could very well happen before Black Friday, in the current no-mans-land time before the official xmas shopping season.
Doesn't matter much, unless I thought AAPL wouldn't at some point recover (I don't), I needed the money soon (nope), or I was going to play the movement. While possible to trade on it, these days I'm happy to sit back and not worry about the mini dips and rises. I'd likely hold out for at least a 20 point move downward, and that doesn't seem likely in the very short term unless something bad happened.
They're doing a 24 hr relay on the peloton bikes at the Hyatt, as a fund raiser for the elementary school. I hadn't been on one before and just did a standard ride, but it was a bit ironic to be stuck in a no-window room set to 77 and dripping buckets, while we had our second dusting of snow for the season. But most of the teams doing it are employees at the Hyatt, many doing 4 different hour long blocks even though most of them normally do 20-60 minute classes. I suppose I should do another leg, maybe trying out one of the classes.
I'll have to do a quick google search to see how to make it communicate with my iPhone. On a real-world ride I would use Strava and the health data would pick it up. Instead it looks like the iOS considered it steps, so my 26.2 miles of riding was instead 10k or so of steps. Better than nothing, especially considering the lack of GPS movement, but given the leg movement analysis that Apple talked about at WWDC or some keynote, I'd expect it to do better.

There's that dip I was thinking could very well happen before Black Friday, in the current no-mans-land time before the official xmas shopping season. I expected volume to be up on a dip like this, both on AAPL and on this board. This tidbit on options trades yesterday talks about some big purchases. The bullish ones they highlight partly cancel out the bearish, and one would have to look at the timeframes more. But, not surprisingly, someone was making some big bets, and made a bit of money today if they were looking short term for small moves instead of long term for larger moves. Apple Option Trader Makes $3M Bet On 10% Pullback(FYI, you don't need a 10% move to make money on it) RSI was down at 65 earlier. Good to see AAPL recovering a bit. As it has for the past few weeks, it will be especially interesting to see what happens in the last 15 minutes or so, or even this last hour.

The media covered the h-beam and the floor a lot better then the event that they were sent there for. Where were the questions about the product and the people employed in this facility and the impact on the economy? They proved the accusations that were made about them.

The Mac Pro is assembled in Austin, TX since 2013. I don’t see what is the big deal with all the news today about Apple and Texas.

But Trump tours an Apple plant and gives then credit for using American workers and you still make a snide comment? When did Obama tour an Apple plant or do anything positive for the company despite repeated entreaties by both Jobs and Cook? It's almost as if you're a hater that will say bad things about the President no matter what he does.

This expanded campus is not an assembly plant; I believe it is for product development and other white collar jobs. I was under the impression that the plant building the Mac Pro was owned by a contracting company and that the employees are not Apple employees, but workers for the contractor.

Nice to be able to see the whole clip, though I just don't have time for it. There's a little interaction at 26 minutes, and then a derailment to non-Apple stuff shortly thereafter via a question from the press. Way to not stay on topic! OTOH, that supplier map at the beginning is missing NV. No batteries from the gigafactory for Apple. Though I know someone who runs or owns a super capacitor factory a little outside of Carson City. I don't have any good guesses on what that even means, as far as power vs size vs charging vs cost. But in theory something like that could be great for an iPhone or even an AC adapter, for an instant 5-10% charge.
