The link is from valuewalk, who I am almost certain is part of Google. www.valuewalk.com/2013/01/apple-inc-aapl-defends-corporate-tax-ahead-of-congressional-report/If you read down you will see someone from Apple's treasury department. I did not know Apple has a treasury department. LOL. Mr Martin Sullivan supposedly exposes Apple for tax evasion. Where do they get these people? Gotta love the left though, any money earned is part theirs in their mind, even if it was made 10k miles away.

I checked over their website. Given the bios of the people, webpage appearance, it appears to be a hodgepodge. Multimedia they are not. It appears to be one step above a basement operation... literally from looking at a certain pic which I won't link to.
Nevertheless, the link is a clear hit piece, loaded with prejudice. One sided info all the way. Not a single dissenting opinion.

I see what you did there. Unless Apple is lying , it paid $6B in fed income taxes in the US in FY '12. Considering Apple's operating income in the Anericas segment ($23.7B, before SG&A expense, before OpEx, blending Canada and S. America, and Canadian sales and growing S. America sales are probably pretty robust), this is an entirely reasonable amount to be paying. Valuewalk isn't worth my time and Apple's tax strategies are no secret to anyone, particularly the IRS. Apple has massive offshore sales and business presence, which is so conveniently glossed over.

(...)I did not know Apple has a treasury department.(...) Most multi-nationals do. The only part of corporate finance that ever sounded even remotely interesting to me. ;D
