See guys? Today wasn't THAT bad. 515 is some damn good support at the moment. And no pesky gaps to worry about. At this level, anyway.

My old self would have bought here - 1) Lot of people throwing in the towel 2) anxiety and pessimism is a peak levels 3) Valuation is a bottom levels 4) apple is selling everything it can make.. to an objective viewer, this is a screaming buy. Butt we have been beat down so much, hard to be objective. Let the range break one way or another. Need to see some commitment and follow through.

Gap closed, now we can resume up... Doubt it. I knew I should have bought puts at the open. This was way too predictable. I apologize for my pessimism the past week. I am extremely tired of this all. Being jaded is good. That's what happens at bottoms. You've been fooled/burned enough times (Boy Who Cried Wolf and all). Gotta get through all the fakeouts to get on the other side of them. Being jaded is a sign of progress that the prevailing trend is closer to an end.

Quote from another forum I found amusing, love the formula: You miss the point of this forum It's for the exclusive use of Fandroids to have a little dig at Apple. There are three prerequisites to owning an Android phone 1. Lack of cash 2. Immaturity 3. Lack of social education These 3 items put into a formula give the reason why the Fandroid acts and posts and downvotes the way he does. There is also some Pavlovian conditioning involved. The formula, LC x (I x LSE) = E E is of course Envy. If you think Chasmac exaggerates, or is just being snarky, you really have to see the comments below this story: Why we’ve decided to stop producing TNW Magazine for AndroidNot only do the Fandroids attack the publisher for his obvious business reasons for discontinuing an Android edition, but they also show an almost unbelievable ability to ignore reality in their comments, especially documented facts and reasoned analysis from the Apple advocates. It really shows what a religious cult Android has become for some of these people. No amount of facts or logic can deter their zeal.

I can. iPad Smooshie(tm) with those 515 connecting points on the lower "trendline" (is it a trendline without a trend? ) resolved to the upside. I didn't see the extent, I didn't predict upside resolution, but it actually didn't surprise me. Then again I have been wearing the rangebound hypothesis tinfoil hat for a while.

I nominate Big Al as official intraday thread starter (until we have a red day, then....Off with his Head!) Me too. If he has the guts he'll start tomorrow's (Friday). If you can hold up Friday then you have arrived. I would like to point out that my first comment AND first thread was the intraday a couple days ago that ended green. Slightly. If and when Big Al's streak falters, I will take my second turn at starting the intraday thread. Having said that, I hope I never have to start an intraday thread again.

don't think aapl will go below 500. it had the chance today. 515 support held again. 525 needs to be breached tomorrow and need to confirm it as well....and we have a shot at 532-533..then 540 on the upside. if 525 not confirmed , then break down again to go to 515. if i were a betting woman, i would bet no below 500 shot. they made up all the nonsense they could, including a cheap garbage phone for china and india, as if chinese and indians don;t deserve quality. they may do pricing like ipad mini with out sacrificing quality for affordability. it took phil schiller to effectively kill that rumor of cheap, piece of garbage phone. that would be an insult to chinese and indians, in my opinion. look at all the garbage they said about FB to drive it down . it is the darling now having gone up 60% on basically nothing but rumors of better ad monetization on mobile devices. same games now with aapl. they want to make money on the way down and on the way up. the selling and negative spin destroyed aapl chart. it will be repaired when the buying starts. and it will again. they want to make money on the long. and then wash and rinse and repeat all over again. watching the levels...trendlines and fibs are best firends( TA better than elliot for this intraday very short term moves)

walmart iphone with no limit interneet for 50's per mnth. iphone also financed for 25 per month. It's about opening up new markets. 80% of the phone they selling at Walmart will be one they would not have sold before. It's also about Competition, Vz and ATT will be forced to be more Competitive to match Walmart. While Apple still gets Full price for every phone they sell. What Walmart is doing is no different than TMOBILE really. And those Walmart Iphone people would likely be FIRST TIME visitors to Apple stores for Support of their new Walmart Iphone......... they will be able to resist all those shiny accessories and Tablets, and Computers at the Apple Store?
This Walmart News is absolute worst news for Samsung and Android.

From Nansen Apple and China Mobile Move Closer To An Agreement Tim Cook and Xi Gouha, the Chairman of China Mobile, have reportedly signed a confidentiality agreement which is a precursor to a final agreement with China mobile. Tim Cook met yesterday with Miao Wei, China’s head of the Ministery of Industry and Information Technology. The Chinese government has a controlling interest in China Mobile so any agreement between Apple and China Mobile will have to have the approval of the Chinese government. All 3 parties to this agreement have a lot to gain by signing an agreement. The only thing holding an agreement up is the question of money and how the profits will be split between Apple and China Mobile. The Confidentiality agreement is a big step and could well signal an agreement is imminent. The minute an agreement is announced, you will see Apple immediately gap up $50 to $60.Seriously Nick? I'm done listening to biased, non-objective opinions. AAPL will not gap up that much on a deal. Setting these lofty expectations is exactly why the last three months have been so difficult on everyone. He said back at the beginning of September that we were unlikely to ever see below 600 again. How did that work out? He's not any better at uncovering and analyzing information that many of you on this board. Well said. In fact he is a destructive influence, biased and myopic. He was telling everyone to buy Jan 14 700-800 call spreads a few months ago, then he forecast around 10.80 for 4Q earnings and shrugged off that miss, then after the Nov 18 fall to 505 he said the worst is behind us and predicted APPL reaching an ATH before Jan earnings, etc. In short he is an idiot and anyone who listens to his BS is at the risk of suffering great financial loss.

Straight Talk is another TracFone brand, with two different rate plans, a $30 limited plan and a $45 30-day unlimited plan. Discounts are available for purchasing multiple months of the unlimited plan. Straight Talk is a Mobile Virtual Network operator (MVNO) offering both CDMA and GSM support. The CDMA network uses Verizon's or Sprint's CDMA 1xRTT wireless networks and the GSM side makes use of either T-Mobile's or AT&T's GSM networks."

For those that don't understand Amazon, there is an interesting article by Travis Holum on Motley Fool this evening: Not Even Jeff Bezos Would Buy Amazon's Cash Flow.. Apparently we're not the only ones frustrated with Mr. Market's company evaluations.

Actually I have an order to exit the position at a smidge under $50 that ought to trigger pretty soon. By the way, what do you guys recommend regarding BCS near the end? These are my first ever BCSs! Is it better to let them expire, exercise, deliver, etc, or sell just before all that occurs? Do the brokerages generally handle them smoothly or do I need to intervene and do something?

3 fuds used to pressure aapl stock price... 1)China iphone5 sell slow, 2) Apple's revenue 1st quarter down 30%, 3) Cheap iphone coming soon
just look at fib levels, trendines and confirmation short term for the stock gyrations, if you are a trader. otherwise scale in for long term. if aapl the stock was as broken as they have us believe, why so much fabricated garbage about aapl ..a barage of fud...it is too contrived...makes a person go hmmmmmmmmm?

Then, go relax and enjoy your life without this unnecessary stress or risk.

If it were me, I would first marvel I kept them that long.
I would've sold end of day today. But just me, and it's total non-advice.
But purely objectively, how much more water from that stone can you really get? Net credit already almost 48. If you bought them way cheaper a long time ago...well...

I have been saying this for a while. His blog says everything. It use to be a place of discussion, then he went off the deep end and basically told people that his opinion was the only one that mattered since it is his blog. I am sure all of us would expect AAPL to move up on CM news, $50 is just like his estimates, overblown. (Personally I think the deal is done but has to be held off until after earnings, WS already knows I promise. It also had to be done to be able to include in guidance) Bernard, where have you been?

the latest negative spin....analyst "grave" concerns now about itune's future threat from amzn
SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Amazon, taking aim at Apple's dominant iTunes store, on Thursday unveiled a service that it hopes will boost digital music sales and encourage more people to use its Cloud music service.
Amazon launched Amazon AutoRip, which gives customers free digital versions of music CDs they purchase from the world's largest Internet retailer.
The digital music files are automatically stored in customer libraries in remote datacenters run by Amazon, where they are available to play or download immediately through the company's Cloud Player service, the company said.
Amazon customers who have bought AutoRip-eligible CDs at any time since the company started selling discs in 1998 will also get digital versions of that music stored in their Cloud Player libraries for free, the company added

Nansen Note: We can disagree with, maybe even lightly bash , certain commentators, without bashing anyone who either brings up or agrees with said commentators. Some polite, strong encouragement to lay off the advice of any false prophets is fair game of course.

According to Nielsen data from last week, 200 million of the nearly 320 million albums sold last year were physical CDs (though the disparity is largely in favor of digital when it comes to singles, naturally).
It's a shrinking pie, but it's still an addressable one.

Interesting album stat fariba. Maybe it's the album aspect.
I wonder if that'll still be the case if iMac leads a trend away from optical drives being built-in. Never mind the smartphone/ultraportable computing wave...
