IMO, if it wasn't for the GS "report", AAPL would have been over $300 yesterday. Oh well, with the slow reopening of TX and the APR Options having expired, perhaps we will get some further forward movement next week.

Yes, it was explained by someone last year that Goldman Sachs was in charge of the Apple stock repurchase program. In that capacity they are acting as an agent for Apple by repurchasing shares on the open market, millions of shares per year. If this is true and part of their compensation is derived from purchasing shares at the lowest possible price, they may have an incentive to drive the share price down ? Again, I don’t know for sure if this is true or how these repurchase deals normally work. If anyone knows, please share.

In late December BGR published Apple’s iPhone XR outsold every other smartphone in 2019. The iPhone SE looks to me to be a far better bargain, especially in these trying days. I can’t imagine that Tim and Apple were planning on a pandemic, but they could hardly have come up with a better offering for the times. The summer quarter earnings report could be more interesting than has been feared.
