I ordered a 2021 Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited last week (so technically this does not signal Irrationally Exuberant Car Talk™ ). I have a VIN already. LOVE the split. Love it. Cheers to all!

Well I see it doesn’t hurt to talk cars. Don’t want to spoil the fun and change the topic lol. I mean I’d hate to splurge and turn a 2006 GMC SUV and a 2012 Buick LaCrosse into one vehicle...a Lincoln Aviator. I feel so guilty that I’m considering the Standard not the Reserve or Black label options. I said to myself if has a good report and hits 400 I’m doing it but here I am hesitating, Why Why Why.

Funding secured... $420 any day now. Is that before or after the split .... That was before the split.

Tim‘s opening remarks pushed the price back up to around $406. I wish that US would have more leaders like him!

I feel so guilty that I’m considering the Standard not the Reserve or Black label options. I said to myself if has a good report and hits 400 I’m doing it but here I am hesitating, Why Why Why. For us, there's a slight thought of holding back due to the ups and downs of history, but also that it took a lot to get to this point. We still value a dollar, even if we have a few more of them than we used to. We've been talking about upgrading a few things. New windows will be nice. I love my old '92 4runner that has yet to see 200k, that I bought while at Apple from a kernel engineer. But I have been eyeing a rare set of options on a F-150 for much too long now. Time to either buy a 1-3 year old one, or plan to buy a new one when the revision comes out. One of the many things we want is a 6 seater, so I don't have the option of any of the higher trim levels. But I'd rather get a slightly used one and spend or donate the $15k I'd save. Lots of car talk. That's a sign, but maybe the 4-1 split that starts trading that way on August 31st will keep the momentum up.

Thanks Apple! I really wasn't expecting a present from you this time around. You really outdid yourself. Way to knock it out of the park! Best Birthday present from you ever! However redundant the thought now seems...Happy Birthday!...and thanks for all you do here.

It's time for a split, the transition to Apple Silicon will drive the price to new highs out of reach for new investors. WE GOT A REAL SMART GUY HERE. WOW!
AAPL ALL TIME HIGH!!! SEE YOU FRIDAY MORNING

That's the thing about presents. Sometimes it's just great to be surprised, and the sad part is if you start to expect the size and frequency of them, getting a little too greedy. It just loses the joy. Luckily, Apple has a way of throwing big surprises at all of us from time to time. While I hope they continue, the time and size is all up to Apple. Thanks Apple/AAPL. And thank's everyone here, for all the board contributions over the years! You help make this board what it is. Aaron

I think that means that Dow tracking ETFs will need to sell 75% of their shares on that date. FWIW, there was a story yesterday of an ETF that screwed up and didn't readjust, due to a "clerical error" of certain things needing to happen on 2 different dates. It made for a $100M difference over time, which the company reimbursed to make whole. Potential readjustments hopefully will be small compared to the overall excitement level, while also remembering that especially in the age of free trading of fractional shares, a split really shouldn't matter...and yet it often does, especially since they are normally only issued when there is positive momentum.

It's time for a split, the transition to Apple Silicon will drive the price to new highs out of reach for new investors. With the advent and popularity of fractional shares, IMHO stock splits are probably a thing of the past. What timing, very happy to be wrong

I'd just like to say how glad I am that I was wrong about my poll answer.
And go ahead and sell all those Apple shares to rejigger the indexes, ETF's. A little dip will give me a chance to buy some options at a discount, and the haters won't be able to say oMg NoBoDy LeFt To BuY aApL. The ETF's will have to buy in all over again as Apple rises.
Looking forward to many Artman ATH posts.

Hi All,
I've been MIA for a while .... I started going to the TSLA boards quite often and then I just completely stopped going to any of the boards. In any case, I think I'll be hanging around here a bit more .... life has been totally crazy but I'm so thankful for the fact we invested in AAPL and frankly TSLA. As a musician, my work has been slashed, still have some online teaching on Zoom and some recording that I'm able to do to bring in some income but no gigs. I'm thankful to report that I don't even need the money thanks to both of these wonderful, life changing investments. It sure makes this quarantine thing a lot easier, I do realize how much I love what I do so I'm anxious to get back to it .... soon enough.
In any case .. a BIG ... CHEERS TO THE LONGS!

All this on a day when incredibly bleak US economy numbers were released... I'm happy for Apple (and my investment), but it's a strange disconnect to say the least. Still, I think all Apple longs have earned a drink. Congrats!
