You never want to hear of a battery leaking: That's a lot of new things coming out, sometime. I wasn't expecting the iPhone to not be released at this event, but it makes sense if it's not quite ready in quantity. Apple has had multiple release announcements in the fall lately, though I can't remember with certainty if they were full on events. It feels a lot different than a week ago, as expectations for a quick price recovery are tampered. It will happen, but it could take a little time.

So, for this to come to market Apple would need to reintroduce it’s AirPort base station that it decided to kill several years ago, right? That would be good. I’m still using my AirPort network today. They are still being sold on eBay for couple hundred dollars, they were that good.

That's the optimistic view, and one I'd like to share, but fundamentals alone aren't what was having AAPL hit those top ATH numbers. It's like the waves on a rising tide, getting higher and higher on average. Is a huge one a rouge wave, or some other oddity like a blast of waves from a wakeboard boat? Whereas the fundamentals are the rising tide. Things are a little crazy in the world lately, and it doesn't take too much of a shove from other outside forces to throw things off balance. Sometimes that is a positive, power launching you where you want to go. Other times it's a negative, knocking you down or even sending you off a cliff. Most of the stock market had done reasonably well, but like too many kids on the trampoline it's all fun and games until someone gets knocked down. Most of the time they get back up and at it soon enough, but it's never a sure thing. But yea, my optimistic side sees the market and AAPL taking off again soon enough, even if this reminder downdraft slows things down a bit. I'm ready to buy another chunk in some bullish fashion, whether that's stock, writing puts, or buying calls or spreads. $110-112 is 20% off the top, and seems low even if $440-450 seemed like a crazy high expectation at any time more than 2 months ago. It all depends on how solid this reframed P/E range is. The fundamentals seem solid, but there are still variables that investors are putting on the stock.
