So this seemed a little odd, was thinking of placing an order for a 16"MBP and iPad Pro and they both show at least 4 weeks shipping time?

Still a backlog, but for me the online Apple store is showing a range of 1-2 weeks for the 16" MBP, and 2-3 weeks for the 12" iPad Pro. Seems like unless there was going to be a disruption, that these machines would be caught up on availability.

Ok thanks I will check again! Looks like my TV+ Show is starting up again hence the need for some new toys.
(My first thought was The Upcoming Silicon event but seems doubtful that a new MBP would be first out the gate?)

(My first thought was The Upcoming Silicon event but seems doubtful that a new MBP would be first out the gate?) Nice! Well, if you have to get them instead of waiting a little to see why there is the delay, there are non-Apple vendors. MacMall shows both items in stock. I guess Other World Computing mostly doesn't have used Macs, but has some used current 16". I guess I'm not up to date on the current top vendors, having bought the few things more recently from the likes of Apple, Amazon, or Costco. Appleinsider always maintains their list of pricing. appleinsider.com/articles/20/05/03/16-macbook-pro-deals-save-up-to-450-on-every-single-model-with-couponFrom there you should be able to get to other things, like the iPads. Good luck. And congratulations!

Wow, this sure is a regrouping time. RSI back to a tick below 50 (49.30), though volume was pretty low today. Earnings is still a week and a half away, though since the quarter ended before the new iPhones, it's likely more of a reassurance ("things last quarter went a little better than expected, but we have the best product line ever, and sales of the new products are doing better than expected"...just like every quarter).
This is that middle ground, with a lot of things up in the air. Things aren't terrible, but things aren't great either. It's a regrouping, and a time to reevaluate.
All the while, those companies with positive cash flow continue to chug on, and if they're been through this rodeo a few times they know to gather their bearing and focus on the future.
Apple did this back in 2001-2002, while those around it were flailing. The current point in time is only an issue if you focus too much on it. Instead, if you take a step back and think 1-5 years, all but the edge cases look at least decent. But that does take calming down a bit, taking a step back, and thinking of the big picture.
Time to go play with the chainsaw. This section of a tree I dropped 8 or 9 years ago is finally going to make a nice bench.

Hey Mark, showing me the same timeframe, if I increase graphics to 5600 or storage from 1-2TB it goes down to Nov.3-10th timeframe Also you may want to check the Refurbs page on 's Site. Ive allways had good luck with Refurbs and they come with exactly the same warranty, Stock changes often so keep looking....
