That's 18% over the current ~127. As the article says, I'd love to logically be able to expect 50% gains every year, seeing how few years it would be to hit 10 figure status. But realistically that is a bit lofty. 18-20% might not encapsulate the very most bullish hope and dream, but it only takes 4 of them to make a double. Either way, beating the market by at least a little is key, and it's good to see expected gains be based on expected increased earnings. Bring it!

The effects of Apple silicon will be wide ranging, not only in product features, quality and performance, but also in full control of technological advancement and timing. Ultimately, it may result not only in better products, but also in reduced product costs. Tim’s background in production means that things like the current Wistron problems will not persist, or Tim will find new partners. I am confident that there will be no shortage of suitors. And by the way, who predicted the M1?

I think all kinds of people predicted it. But almost no one predicted just how game changing and disruptive it would be. Especially given how compatible it is with existing apps due to Rosetta 2. Seems to me that Apple way over-achieved compared to expectations. An absolutely stunning technical achievement in my opinion.

I think that it is going to be the ML engine that is going to be really significant when Apple scales it up on future M series devices. The impact on Automotive, medical, robotics and Manufacturing could be astounding way beyond desktop and laptops.

Well, I missed this one completely, but after reading the blurbs on the Apple web site, I would like to know more. Can you provide any pointers to helpful articles?

I highly recommend the first lecture on iTunes U from Stanford University on machine learning. Be sure to listen to the whole hour because the last half hour after the section on logistics is chock-full of interesting examples of what machine learning is all about.

Thanks, I will check it out as soon as the holidays madness gives me an opportunity.
