So many stocks appear to be setting up for potential blow-off tops, including many that top our Love-to-Hate List! Check out this WAG at an EW count I did the other day for AMZN... AMZN-EW WEEKLY CHART: Scenario 1 AMZN-EW WEEKLY CHART: Scenario 2

iPad, I think LVS actually looks pretty decent from a momo standpoint.
I hope that at least you don't think I'm insane to think that. ;D Maybe overbought, but acting quite strong with daily MACD-h trending and constructive BB resolution.

I have never traded it, and I know nothing about it; so I should be unbiased.

Well...I _did_ say I hope you don't think I'm insane...so...yeah. ;D And why not? LVS isn't a terribly bad trading vehicle IMHO, though it can be high-beta. You never know, you might add it to your trades list.

High beta makes for good trading. ;D
Okay, I'll take a look...
Meanwhile, look at those AMZN charts... Dare I say it...? Could AMZN actually be about to take a haircut?!?! Where is Mercel?!

Mercel won't be back 'til at least 600, I bet. Maybe wait for AMZN to bounce off the EMA-21 first? It definitely _is_ faltering a bit.

I still would not touch. Heck, it was down almost 10% at one tie today. There is a nice trend line and it has not broken it. RSI at 57, geez, handle with care. Does AMZN's MACD ever go below the zero line.

I don't like the sound of that. I dunno, a day to a month? Maybe two months max? Hedging and mental stops in play. Could always put in an actual stop limit. Calls are actually pretty ITM. So if LVS did nothing by expiry I would retain the majority of my capital.

Mav, I did an LVS chart for you with trendlines/channel, and now I can't find it. Will look again in the AM. I must have saved it to the wrong place.
Meanwhile, draw line across the bottoms of the intraday candles AFTER the gap up for the accelerated trendline. Parallel line across the tops for the channel.
From memory, mixed signals in different timeframes...longer timeframes looked bullish, while shorter timeframes suggested potential retrace to the accelerated trendline. Just mind that open gap below...if the lower trendline decisively breaks, that's a target. If the lower trendline holds on retrace, looks like another leg up to the upper trendline.

I'm dying to short every high beta* in sight on the next push up on neg divergence. *every high beta that hasn't already corrected 40% in the past four months

AMZN looks like fun! Negative divergence began developing yesterday for a lot of charts I'm watching. We should have a fun few months ahead IMO.

Doc, agree! IMHO, the best short-term opportunities will shortly be on the short side.

My TSLA calls have seen a nice move higher in anticipation of earnings next week. Ready to blow the barn doors off.

Watch GOOG for island top potential. Kind of makes one wonder if it was not pumped up so Eric could sell his shares. That is such a large position to sell. Why? Its not like he needs the money.

AMZN DAILY Closed below the SMA50 yesterday. Negative divergences on the MACD. Still part of the May gap left to be filled. I'm guessing that the SMA200 doesn't act as support like it did back in November.

Have a look at VCLK. I am thinking about a BearCS jun exp, 23 -27. I'd appreciate anyone's input.

"About to"? Like...a day? A week? I need that guarantee so I can make a trade and blame you if it goes wrong. ( ;D )

"About to"? Like...a day? A week? I need that guarantee so I can make a trade and blame you if it goes wrong. ( ;D ) Heehee. Okay, just a WAG here, but looks like it took about 2-3 weeks to make that flagpole and bear flag... so I'd guess-timate approximately the same for the measured move to the daily SMA-200. However, if price goes above 273-ish, this is NOT a bear flag; so the short entry would be after a retest of the highs *on bearish divergence* on a shorter timeframe (one hour or under). It's so hard to tell on Fridays whether the OE pin is holding the price up or down. Need to see what happens Monday, when the stock is more free to run. (Sounds familiar, eh? )

Have a look at VCLK. I am thinking about a BearCS jun exp, 23 -27. I'd appreciate anyone's input. Unless you have impeccable timing, don't step in front of a train. No divergences on daily or weekly charts. I would venture the first pullback will be bought, and I would wait for the subsequent retest of the highs on bearish divergence to take a short entry potentially targeting the gap fill.
