Kernan was never really an intellectual giant on CNBC. But his "rant" was noteworthy because 1. he admitted that they were wrong about Apple two years ago, and 2. He says all those snide things and then admits he loves the product. A perfect example of the superficiality of CNBC. Of course, not a word about the last two blowout quarters( hey Joe, your show is about the stock, remember?)And to return the snide...Apparently, Apple isn't the only thing to have doubled in size over the years

Deagol provides a feast of numbers in Fiscal 3Q 2021 Final Estimates. As usual he provides a surfeit of numbers and formulas, and I can’t claim to have digested them all. Some good discussion in the comments section.

The Big Bang Theory reruns, available on HBO Max, are always good for a laugh...usually many more than one. Chuck Lorre, Co-creator and producer of the series, always ends the episodes with a vanity card...which are seldom that funny or worth reading, IMO. But the vanity cart on the episode we watched tonight got my attention because of the last highlighted comment on the card, which was titled: Another Final Thought
Whatever else can be said about him...Chuck Lorre knows his stocks. 😎

It sounds good at first blush. But what's the average refresh cycle on an iPhone? 3-3.5 years? 16% upgraded to a 12, in the first quarter, gives an annualized rate of what? Does "in the first quarter" mean by the end of the quarter? Or sometime in the middle? Take in potential front loading, and number of weeks available. I'd like to get excited about it, but if just an average 33-28.5% upgrade each year, and the figures given put the 12 at about that rate, wouldn't this just be more of the same. More of the same is good, but that doesn't make for a super cycle, especially with the 13 that we don't know enough about. Maybe I'm just a little sour on the whole disclosure policy that leads to seeing that these people writing articles are so excited about the stocks they are writing about that they don't have any shares. No skin in the game. Hmmmm I enjoyed the TMF boards, and it's good to see that TMF now owns shares and even recommends some option spreads. But it's hard to get all excited when the story excitedly repeats facts or predictions from others, and then doesn't have enough conviction to own any shares. I'd rather see a disclosure of owning (or shorting) shares, even if they then weren't allowed to buy/sell within a few days of posting a new article. That would be a disclosure policy I would like to see. (reading TMF's disclosure policy, it looks like it does mostly follow that idea, not allowing buy/sell within 2 days of an article, or owning something less than 10 days in total. Employees have to disclose every trade! Seems a little onerous. OTOH, I don't believe I have ever read a TMF article where the writer said he owned shares in AAPL. AAPL has had such a great run, across decades. It seems if any of the writers were actually interested in AAPL, they would own it)
