Here's a options-centric topic. As AAPL flirts with $150 per share, the increment of stock price for options strikes goes from $1 to $2.50. This is where we were before the 2020 4-1 split. There is some formula accounting for share price and options liquidity to figure out the intervals, but the end result for AAPL is strikes over $150 are in increments of $2.50.
Does it matter? It does if you are micromanaging small changes in options positions, e.g., if you are selling weeklies near the money. As the share price moves around, managing positions becomes trickier if you can only shift your strikes by $2.50. Remains to be seen whether this will be an issue for active traders like myself. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see AAPL go higher than $150 as much as anyone here. We and AAPL are victims of own own success, I guess.

If Apple's proposal for App store changes placates Epic and Epic stops their FUD campaign, we may see a shift to positive stories, Even the most scabrous blogsters cannot ignore 3 blowout quarters in a row. It is about time for Apple to make a significant advance in technology and price. I ain't afraid of no stinking 13. This feels to me like the lead-up to the iPhone 6 and look at what happened there.
