Good morning, it’s the Friday after and everyone will be busy crunching numbers from yesterday’s report. And all we need is some FedSpeak and who knows how this week may end. Enjoy the ride. This mornings pre-market is very red at -3.30% at this moment.

It could be worse ... i recall that day around 20 years ago when AAPL slid about 50% in one day. My wife came home from work asking "Did Apple split today?"

AAPL is GREEN That's not a colour I expected to see today. And now, pretty significantly so. This is one of those times there seems to be a big disconnect from after-hours trading and the next day. But in the past, AAPL is often fickle a couple days around earnings, so it's hard to guess with certainty what will happen. I guess the best outcome on the bullish side is if the report, whether through specifics or just in decreasing the unknowns, caused some big players to decide to go in big. If they did, they should be sucking up available shares, and causing others to go in. Heck, maybe TMF put another "all in" call Basically a short squeeze, whether it's really squeezing shorts or not. It's nice to see good demand, on products or on the stock shares.

AAPL RSI is over 75 at the moment. Well in to over bought territory.
Pull back expected

For those tracking such things, this short squeeze has caused the RSI on the daily chart to spike to 75+! This indicates extreme overbought conditions. Great place to take some off the table for swing traders.
If you look historical at AAPL it love to oscillate between the 30 and 70 RSI indicators. Great way to pocket some cash on low risk swing trades.

Lost in the white noise of Apple's "awful" quarter,
Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO: "We set an all-time revenue record of $20.8 billion in our Services business, and in spite of a difficult macroeconomic environment and significant supply constraints, we grew total company revenue on a constant currency basis.

For those who care, AAPL is now above 70 on the daily RSI.
I did my part, bought a new M2 MacBook pro this morning.

To bring up the trite, playing earnings would be a fool's errand again. Stock pops on a miss, so even if you guessed correctly on beat or miss... And as for options, despite the notorious IV crush, calls are generally up today. Selling puts would have made money, but who has the nerve for that? Not this guy.

A quick look at the chart, it looks like the last journey into the 70+ RSI zone was Sept. of last year and it stayed in that area several trading days. Could this rally carry over into the first of next week? Maybe.

I have a friend who changed all her trading to put selling. She would sell the 150's and buy the 145's for a put spread bullish. Nerve racking as she be 100s of thousand on this kind of trade and last I talk was making millions. She has balls of steel.

I will bet a lot call sellers at 150 are going to be called out this weekend. Still 20 minutes left though.

Happy to see the recent advances. Bought the 14” M2 MacBook Pro Max about a week ago, delivered 2 days early. Last “big max” laptop was in 2013 for the trip around the world: still have it in daily use. There’s a lot to be said for maxing out the specs and just riding a machine for years. I did the calcs one time for laptops, which came out to $1,500 PC for 3 years or $2,500 Mac for 5 years is the same average $500/ year “rent” for a laptop. At least that’s how I was able to justify a $4,000 co figuration. Hope I don’t drop it.
