Surely you're just messing with me. it's not a wild feat of imagination to fill in the blanks. I think that's why RG got so upset that first time I brought the heat, er asterisks. He really was a big fan of the site. ;D

The four of you are just hostile towards me, but that's OK because history will prove me right. I am a bull and do back up my views but that is not good enough for you four. That's OK too since I have outlived many option holders and doubters. In the mean time we are getting closer to 430. Maybe our pre earnings run officially started today. You get a margin call whenever the stock drops a few dollars. How are you right? I'm a long term bull too by the way, but that has nothing to do with it. Nobody here has attacked your long term bullish view, it's the other stuff you are consistently wrong about. By the way, you'd be surprised how many private messages I have received thanking me for speaking up against you (and others). A lot of people don't want to get involved in the "fight" but they do appreciate people who don't let BS pass by without scrutiny.

I posted the title from an super pro Apple website with the link. There are many that do so. The KGI analyst has a good track with Apples product rollouts recently. The majority of iPhones are assembled by Foxconn so I do not see why this is noise. Please show why this is noise AND why one must post analysis on top of an Analyst analysis. I'm not wholly discounting it. It's a data point and a disconcerting one.

Ming-Chi Kuo has had good info on Apple in the past. It is a data point to keep in mind.
OTOH, to say "therefore 30% less iPhones YOY" - well, you can see the WS response today, y'know? Hon Hai/Foxconn has a number of different clients after all.

If I may put the forum on the couch for a minute...
Anger at sponge is really displaced aggression in response to disappointment with the stock.

Green in PM today...no idea where the PIN is on Friday but that will start to come in to play soon enough. i'll try to give daily updates. this is as of this morning: remember this shifts daily. lately i tend to watch the 'range', rather than the exact pin area. Also I've been saving the data for Apr and June monthly for a few weeks now. should be able to plot it to show how it is trending when i get some time.

If I may put the forum on the couch for a minute... Anger at sponge is really displaced aggression in response to disappointment with the stock. I was going to point that out, but it goes deeper and way beyond our understanding. These folks were angry even when we were trading at 700. I actually enjoy part of it. This forum has been too boring the last few months. Slowly moving away from 430. I like it alot.

I actually enjoy part of it. This forum has been too boring the last few months. Last post on this for a while. This pretty much confirms the agenda for me, as I have suspected for some time. I will no longer humour you with any responses at all. My objections to Sponge and all of his noise, was a futile attempt to talk some sense into him that his postings are a huge contributor to the downturn in discourse. I am here to try and have intelligent conversations about Apple the company and stock. That desire is being drowned out by someone who is trolling for attention, and for me it pretty much kills any interest I have in this place. I am sick of dealing with 80% noise and 20% content. So Sponge, carry on with your trolling and have fun.

Move this post to the technicals thread maybe? I'm thrilled to see it here because it raises the level of discourse. I'm not so thrilled to see the conversation dominated by petty argument. It's fine to disagree, but the hostility that accompanies the disagreement poisons the atmosphere. Contrary to popular thought, I was not involved in that discussion. ;D

I am now officially rooting that we drop down to 432. I do have an order for Jan 550 that I would like to fill.

I think they're fair, Mercel. iPad mini is put to the test in its first full quarter of availability. iPad is similarly new.
If iPad hints at slowing to iPhone-like growth rates...that'll leave a lot of people spooked.

432-433 would be an OK close micro-wise. Near or above HOD is obviously better.

I think Samsung will continue to do well with Apple for another 2 years. They can produce the A6 chips for iPhone 5 for those two years. We will see the true benefits of Apple moving away from Samsung in 2016.

This is a great example of an analyst dumbing down expectations (better entry point?) and incomplete data reporting. The so called YoY decline in unit sales can be directly attributed the unsatisfied December quarter demand being satisfied in the March quarter. Go back to Jan 2013 conference call and you will see TC commenting on the "mother of all backlogs". In April 2012 TC praised production efforts that eliminated that December backlog in January. Now look at historical March quarter results (exclusive of FQ@/12 results) and you will see that a 15% - 20% drop in Revenue should be expected. This is a crap article based on incomplete data to justify headlines that scream negativity.

I was shocked to see the biggest Bear at Braeburn actually have 20 million iPads. People are a little more cautious moving forward in buying iPads. When you have to pay $500 unlike an iPHone that may only cost you $99, then you will take your time. So I see steady growth instead of the 80% YOY we used to see initially.

And you fail to say that that 'disappointing demand' quote is from an "analyst" commenting on Foxconn results, not a fact. (AI is copying some reuters story where some guy talking about weaker iphone demand was cited.) Please, as you say, let's keep this forum useful, don't just repost noise without any analysis. Thanks for pointing this out. The original post freaked me out this morning because I didn't have time to check out the sources.
