It is hard for me to imagine a true Apple enthusiast that is not also a Tesla enthusiast. There are too many parallels to describe in this post, not the least of which is that one of the central components of the Model S is an oversized touchscreen that controls all of the functions of the car, greatly enhancing the entire driving experience. Whether or not you believe all-electric vehicles will win the future, Musk is thinking -- and delivering -- outside the box in ways very reminiscent of SJ.
With the first positive earnings now under its belt, Tesla is now roughly at the stage Apple was when it launched the iPod Mini. Things can get very interesting from here, as all of us who invested in AAPL then can attest.
Go to a Tesla showroom. Take a test drive. And then think about Musk's strategy of launching in about two years a lower priced model that will be affordable by a large slice of Apple's target demographic.

Preaching to the choir buddy!
Long in TSLA Leaps since $33, sold most of my position today, will buy back in once IV comes down and call premiums come down.

I've been watching since then, but never pulled the trigger. Not that he has the time, but I think that Elon would make an interesting addition to Apple's board.

Bought a few shares at 75 a while back. I think I'll just put them away...

Accepting that TSLA is _extremely_ volatile, of course. Maybe set a stop?
