Then things will start to change as some of these players start to drop off. I think you are going to see consolidation (in the form of buyouts and mergers) before you see "drop off". Motorola was the first. Nokia will be second, closely followed by RIMM. Sony will spin off its mobile division. Ericcson will quietly disappear if it hasn't already. HTC will survive by entering other markets.

Now I want to see 450+ a week from now.

Now I want to see 450+ a week from now. Actually, looking at a 5 day trend chart, you could draw a straight line across $445, and another that connects the intraday lows, and see a collision getting ready to occur when the intraday high and low intersect at $445. Ordinarily this would cause me concern. Will the lows breakthrough sending the highs even higher, or will they bounce off the highs and retreat. Call OI for next week is saying breakthrough. Put OI isn't saying much of anything. On average, OI has shed 8 Put contracts for each one Call contract it has shed during the last 4 trading days (does not include today). I'm thinking about canceling my stink bid buy order, and replacing it with a just-in--the-money BCS ($435/$440 or $440/$445), in anticipation of a max pain Close of $445 - $450 next Friday. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on this.

Not bad! Well, still got them butterflies.
Added TSLA butterflies because I'm stupid. Market hedges are off for now. Bear flag or pause, I just can't tell, and that's not a good place to make trading decisions from.

ARGHFARGLE!
AAPL finished over BOTH the SMA-20 daily AND SMA-20 weekly (div-adjusted StockCharts). Hope I'm not caught flat-footed on a Monday move or something.
My self-interest aside, I count those as two positives. As always, will they amount to anything is the question that inherently retrospective technicals cannot answer.

Got a phone call today from a person that saw my '40 Buick in last week's Lilacfest Parade. They're doing a Great Gatsby photo shoot for a very old restaurant in town, and want to use my car. I suggested my '37 Buick instead This will bring in a few $$ and give me an excuse to wax her up. I have a few of my cars shown here. www.GTClassicCars.net/our_cars
