This stock is completely unloved...spongie gonna get margin calls....ugh. Well took care of my margin call this morning. The good news is that after selling some calls, stock in aapl and crus, I managed to only lose $350. So I call that a huge victory. Sold most when we were at 437. There is no way we sell off on Monday after the last three days. As to how far we move up next week, that will depend on what is announced. The news about GS4 not selling well is no surprise. My checks clearly indicated that. My co worker, has yet to figure out how to use all the bells and whistles on hers. I will try to help her out and check out the various features.

Assuming the rebound holds and I can get home before the market closes, I'm going to do a little buying today.

After the fact of course.

He went to the local Apple Store and asked if they've sold any Galaxy S4's...they said no, so Apple is looking great.

This completely bogus "need a bigger iPhone" theory of yours was debunked with facts a long time ago. And yet you keep trotting out the same empty BS. If Apple does not put a scanner into the 5S it is for other reasons, even though you will claim otherwise.

Radio Shack and one or two ATT stores. But more importantly there have been a number of stories in the last few months on it.

Well, it looks like Samsung is now suffering the same Shipments Chatter that has plagued Apple. (not!!)

AAPL going green is a bit of a positive surprise.

I'll let Mercel and JD handle the Max Pain OE stuff...
My TA perspective: this is a retest of that tangle of daily moving averages we lost yesterday, also the neckline of a potential H&S. Get above and stay above to invalidate. Otherwise, chances are heightened for another (lower) leg down...

Hope WWDC is a blockbuster.

Thank you for flying Pain Range Airways.
We are continuing our planned descent towards around 440.
We realize you have a choice to buy weekly calls, and we thank you for your *cough* business. We look forward to messing with you, I mean SERVING, you again next Friday.

Pain range distorts _everything_.
Now, it is not good technically if AAPL can't clear 445? Of course it isn't, micro-wise.
But is WWDC still likely to be the short/intermediate-term inflection point? Unless AAPL breaks 435 end of day, I'm thinking yes.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Oh wait, that's for me being done with my car stuff. Only 5.5 hours!
I'll give the AAPL WHEEEEEE at the close. I'm loving the chart right now. That was a great setup at 433 if you were able to get it. I wish I hadn't been occupied at the time. No worries though, I am figuring out my move now. I think we could surge into the close.

appledoc, you seem to have "bullish divergence" from where iPad's at. What's the confidence boost for you? The EW roadmap and the bounce? Holding the 50-day?
Personally, I'm pretty neutral on AAPL, though I might try a trade on strength at the close despite the "relative weakness" to the SPY.

I'm bullish on the banners going up for WWDC. "Where a whole new world is developing."

Eh, standard Apple marketing until proven otherwise, is my guess.
The longer Apple spends on demos that just don't seem super-important, the less impressed I'll be. One reason why I'd prefer iRadio be saved for a music event or something. Where's the tie-in to developers? Doubt there'd be some revenue sharing arrangement going on there.

You mean the June 450s GS is recommending? ;D
I'm only trading, and even then probably not much, if I see real strength into the close. This won't cut it for me.
But in terms of overall composure, AAPL continues to look much better. Its behavior around mid-channel is worth noting. But again (again), will it amount to anything is the big question.
450 upside target, hold 445 before that happens, 433ish >> 430 below.

Doc's bullish thesis isn't invalidated (EW + TA) unless we decisively lose the daily SMA-50 area. My bullish thesis was invalidated when we lost all the other moving averages above us, and MACD-h made a bearish cross. So now, it's my bearish thesis that has to be invalidated for me to flip back.

You mean the June 450s GS is recommending? ;D GS = the most E of the EOs!!! But in terms of overall composure, AAPL continues to look much better. Its behavior around mid-channel is worth noting. But again (again), will it amount to anything is the big question. 450 upside target, hold 445 before that happens, 433ish >> 430 below. It occurs to me that if this is my "rangebound consolidation" thesis, it would look exactly like this. Criss-crossing over the moving averages. Shaking out the bulls, then shaking out the bears. Rinse and repeat.

I think we'll close $440+ (but less than $445) as calls and puts are too close to call and we've not had any pre-WWDC run up. The calls at the $440 strike are probably not strong enough to resist buying pressure north of there. Click on this to see the calls and puts.
