Mac Pro is a great way for Mac Pro to go if indeed it is the last generation. Don't call it a cube! ;D Federighi is great. He's also a nerd, so he covers all the bases he needs to as far as dev cred and relating to everyone else. Apple's software teams look to be in good hands. Though I hope no one really misses the leather. Guess he wasn't Forstall's best buddy. Agree, I thought he was great.

Redler tweeted this: Event over. Tim cook still doesn't listen as he comes up with nothing surprising. Still no position for meI am guessing from other tweets that they were expecting something like a cheaper iPhone for emerging markets or whatever. This is getting annoying. Can't seem to make the street happy no matter what the heck he says....ugh. "Lack of pipeline comments..." unreal.

Pretty good buying support around 440.
WS hopes for a surprise go unfulfilled again.

To Sum up start of 2013 to fall 2013 for Apple in the product category released to the public - 128 GB iPad noe spec change, Macbook air spec bump in June and Mac Pro sometime this summer. Samsung comes out with more in a week. ios7 looks great but this company is performing way too slow on product releases.

I'm blown away by today's event. WS is showing how really clueless they are.

What, exactly, are Redler's qualifications to be someone the CEO of the most successful company on earth must listen to? He's not even a fundie guy for crissakes, he's a squiggly line guy. #arrogance

I'm blown away by today's event. WS is showing how really clueless they are. they care about hardware so when hardware isn't announced or hinted, they sell. we should have caught on by now to play the predictable nothing-new-selloff, but we hope for the same big announcement just as well.

And where are your numbers backing up this claim that constant product releases sell more? Oh yeah, Samsung doesn't really release sales numbers, just endless iterations of plastic shit.

He is a techie but many of these short sighted people are looking for the surprise - quick gratification. I thought the presentation was great. They really did a great job....and then you get the idiot talking heads saying...Hey it's not SJ's Apple anymore -- he left an 18 month pipeline and it's done." it's just so ridiculous...but there are people who listen to this crap. ugh.

JD So cal I 100% agree that Samsung releases too much nonsense but basically lets be honest I was generous giving the 128 GB iPAd a "new product" title. Basically they have released 1 computer Macbook air because Mac Pro didn't even have a date attached to it. 1 product in 6+ months. The question you have to ask do you think that is suitable number for a company of its size.

Made me laugh:
Ben Evans tweet:
"So, how many cleaners are going to mistake the new Mac Pro for a bin and try and to empty it?"

Eh, the wait continues.
Tim Cook didn't get this far listening to Redler.
Still within my range of trading expectations (as in typical WWDC "selloff" at least from the highs). Back to watching the 50-day.

I'm not happy with the lack of products since the fall either. Jamming so many new products into the holiday season didn't work well in 2012. I hope they're better prepared this time around.
I'm mostly disappointed today at the lack of new MBPs. I need a new laptop. I guess I'll have to keep waiting.

Great presentation. I was hoping for AppleTV SDK, and also MBP's to replace my aging 15". Ah well. It'll all come soon enough. I love the emphasis on California. Love the Mac Pro design, and it's US build. . Love the new OS10 naming direction. Love the new look and function of iOS. I don't care at all about short-term WS reaction. The marathon continues. The road ahead is more clear. Personal sentiment-Bullish.

If you aren't doing anything that specifically requires more CPU why carry something heavier?

No SDK for Apple TV. Well Apple has other plans. I trust they know how to approach this better then anyone.
Have not see the presentation yet.
Stock saddly is predictable, even though I thought we would break the pattern.

Wow! Craig Federighi is a great presentation guy. He's reminding me of Steve, not as smooth, I was thinking the same thing.
