Fed Day today ... AAPL green in PM ... I'll be happy with ANY green these days. Continue loving the AAPL commercials and like that people are talking about them (anecdotal). It's a good thing (as Martha would say).

1. Poorman's algo is NOT max pain. It may be rooted in max pain, but it is NOT the same thing. And it's something I've never disagreed with because the results are proven. 2. It would be fairly easy to post up a strategy for the week to shut me up since you're bound to be right. 3. I know you don't trade one contract at a time. Considering most here don't have thousands of shares to sell calls again or have the options level to sell uncovered calls, again, how useful is this strategy past making a couple hundred bucks a week when you're right, and risking losing it all when you're wrong? 4. I never cherry picked your data back in February. I took the last four weeks of your pain theory. Wrong every time.

Yep, MSFT continues to grow where it counts. Not saying it's a better investment than AAPL at these levels, but I wouldn't say it's wildly overvalued or that the price cannot be justified. I've seen MSFT as undervalued for many years despite my dislike for the company. I never invested because I didn't see anything more than average growth.

We better recover in the next 3 hours. The market is strong and we are weak as usual.
Will be forced to dump a few shares tomorrow for a small loss.
Don't expect much out of the stock until Sept. It will be a long hot summer in the flat land between 420-460.

More likely Monthly Pain... Does anyone else feel that the strive to make Smartphones thinner could be better used making the battery last a lot longer and the screen bigger? Most people I see have their phones in these big protective cases anyways, so does a few tenths of an inch thinner really make someone pick Smartphone A over Smartphone B? I'd rather have a slightly thicker Smartphone and have it last 50% longer.

AAPL is offically becoming MSFT II when it comes to boredom trading wise and sideways long term trading. IMHO The best entry point into this stock will be during the 3 months after next earnings report. Apple will announce its worst guidance in years and quarters almost will have to improve and the worst news and quarter will finally be priced in. Products will be coming in September/Oct. So in my opinion late July mid August will be the time AAPL will start to improve. Until then the stock will be as is 400billion company give or take a few billion.

Lance, I agree.
I'm back to selling covered calls five to ten bucks above likely max pain on the weeklies, rolling out two weeks in advance. I may skip earnings week in July but for now its the only plan that works....
Currently holidng june 22/ 440s and June 29/445s
Rinse and repeat.

Apple would NEVER give up on its A-series processors, nor should they. They work just fine.
Qualcomm as Apple foundry, though? Unlikely, but potentially interesting. If Samsung is cornering the market of SoCs that "matter" or trying to use in-house solutions whenever possible (which would make perfect sense, considering Samsung has its own foundries), I can kind of see the partnership. But Qualcomm is also a kinda-frenemy of Apple's and still supplies Samsung with smartphone SoCs last I checked.
More baseless chatter until shown otherwise, I'm guessing.

this action is like watching a fingernail grow The only consolation for long term shareholders is thinking about the daily growth in the cash mountain generated by AAPL's incredible free cash flow.

Lol at aapl today
PS VIX option expiration same week as stock option expiration. Tends to be short term bearish. Last instance was in April and we saw a 2+% short term sell off over 2 days.
