Actually artman - one of the comments in that Fortt piece was that Samsung was using some pretty huge numbers on marketing. Also, if that is a commercial - I think the public is just tired of AAPL bashing at this point. Just tell me what YOU (Samsung) can do and what you can offer me...stop being a frigging child (Samsung) and just making commercials attacking or making fun of Apple. The commercial tells me nothing about how wonderful their phone potentially is. It's exhausting - yes, tiresome to watch. Eventually negative campaigns come back to bite you in the butt. Just a sole woman's opinion.

There's not always a reason for selling off.

Fortt seems like a nice enough guy, but the next time he provides insight that hasn't been all over the web for hours will be the first time.

Searched the usual sites but can find nothing that comes close to explaining today's reversal. Anybody, or are we still at the beach? It must be the cans. He must hate these cans.

Until the author wrote the last paragraph the article did very good just recounting the facts. Unfortunately, the last paragraph illustrated that the author has no real understanding of what's going on.

Its a timid move, but its in the right direction. Too late for me though. While taking a shower I went from profitable to losing 80%.

Aristotle is my hero for the day. He is 100% bang on. I remember those crap carrier stores too. How anyone can take the side of a carrier who collectively have a history of controlling, abusing, and raping customers is beyond me. But that is how the Android apologists roll.

Bought a few things at the close.
Hope I'm not a contrarian indicator...

To the Fandroids, it's "open" season on logic. Like they care that carriers are the most closed of all. Whatever it takes to beat Apple, often with its own IP, which is all stupid and obvious and shouldn't count anyway.

Samsung misses. 20M S4 units, heheh, "shipped". Does that include the other S4s like the mini? The Xoom, I mean Zoom? Best of all? That 20M unit news is "reportedly shipped". bgr.com/2013/07/05/samsung-earnings-q2-2013-estimates/Operating profit missing the $8.9B analyst estimate by about $600M. That's not a small miss. Unlike Mr. Dalrymple, like I care if Samsung gets punished for this. It's the same in WS if Apple misses. S'called guide, and guide well, or your stock is at even higher risk.
