Happy Friday ... AAPL flat to slightly red in PM ... overall markets a bit green ... a wall of calls at the 430 strike but you have to admit that even if we bumped our head against that wall, it will have been a nice week overall.

The 50 and 100 day are major hurdles at 433. If we get good results from the banks this AM, I think we might challenge them. Upper BB sitting at 440 on the daily. If we've seen the last of the lows, I expect to ride it toward 490-500.

An inside consolidation day wouldn't be the worst thing in the world here.

I would be delighted with a 429.90 close today, knowing what we know.
Next week could be our breakout time.....

I wonder how that fits in with the whole "Do no evil" thing?

Despite the sensational headline, reading the post tells me the code was benign. Since one of the objectives of open source Android was to make sure no one sneaks in malicious code, I wonder why it took so long for this news to surface.

I would be delighted with a 429.90 close today, knowing what we know. Next week could be our breakout time..... Will likely close out half of my calls to take care of my basis and let the rest ride. Tempted to hold them all over the weekend but I've totally gun shy since apple isn't trending strongly. To those that accuse TA of being squiggly lines I would offer only this: I use it to know when to be super aggressive and when not. AAPL isn't in a place where I'm confident to be super aggressive so anytime I'm in a gain and can close out my basis with runners I do it. 460 breaks and I may get really aggressive again.

Interesting point made from someone on Twitter, regarding Tim Cook's attempt to get more iPhones sold from Apple stores:
"For an Indian, it's a 7 hour flight to the closest city in the closest country with an Apple Store."

Did not trust the action today or on Monday. Sold a few calls for a small profit and gave myself breathing room in case of margin call which would be due on Monday if we did not close above 426.
Played golf and sold on the 17th hole. I love my iPhone.

I wonder how that fits in with the whole "Do no evil" thing? Don't know about doing no evil but it but it could mean at least one of two things. If Google is to be believed and the NSA software does no snooping, then Google at least admits it isn't very competent in writing secure software. At worst, the NSA has embedded spyware and the incompetent Google is unaware.

Yes, to me it is about the relationship with Google and the NSA which seems to run considerably deeper than that of Apple and the NSA.

GREAT ARTICLE... www.valuewalk.com/2013/06/apple-inc-aapl-iphone-government/the quintisential excerpt... "Her point however, isn’t that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) or co-founder Steve Jobs didn’t innovate. It’s that the government provided a push to make sure that it happened." Supports what I've been saying all along about the success of tech inventions being rigged, which is why I invest in AAPL and why you should too. : D

Yes, to me it is about the relationship with Google and the NSA which seems to run considerably deeper than that of Apple and the NSA. James Bamfords books.."The Puzzle Palace" and "Body of Secrets" reveal a tantalizing look inside the NSA. Neither book has been discredited. They imply that everything on the net is mirrored by NSA. I don't think this is a recent phenomena.

What better place to put eaves dropping code than in cheap handsets used throughout the 3rd world.

Apple consumes far more chips than TSNC can produce. If Apple is genuinely going to leave Samsung behind then it will REQUIRE much more chip capacity. There is good logic behind the rumor.

Wonder if she has any credibility on this one? I guess that would mean that we move from a 4, 4S, 5 lineup to a 5, 5S, 6 lineup? That would be aggressive and impressive if true. EDIT - trying to find a link on this, and all I can find is stuff that is months old. So I guess, bottom line is that I don't believe it unless there is something recent.

There may well be two new iPhones. You won't see an iPhone 6. Since some people want a bigger screen they would still think "5S" even if the iPhone was redesigned and forged in liquid metal unobtainium this year.
5S + CheapPhone should be just fine tho.

Can we agree it will be "Mid-Line iPhone? Just as the MacBooks were never called cheap MacBook Pros, I think we have a corollary here. It's looking like the extra iPhone in Sept. will cover the lack of a tentpole feature in iPhone 5s (as I'm not hearing ANYTHING about a fingerprint sensor in the supply chain).
