I really think we are getting set up just like in April. Dropped on Friday, recovered on Monday and stayed flat for most of earnings week. Did no really move up until the following two weeks. WS is cautious this time and comes around more slowly.

You have more predictions than a goose loaded with ex-lax.... Then there was the $431 guarantee from a day or two back. Don't forget no fingerprint scanner. MSFT and GOOG killed my prediction for this week. Blame them no me. I should add that looking at the chart don't be shocked to see another massive dump taking us to 419 before recovering.

Don't forget no fingerprint scanner. Las Vegas has you at 70-30 at being right on that one. My cleaning lady also agrees with you that the technology is not ready yet.

Any chance the low cost iPhone would only be available in apple stores? (That got more ridiculous as I typed, but I'm still throwing it out there)

The 4S is D.E.A.D. Apple is not going to retrofit a lightening connector and market it with a new mid-level iPhone.

Lets get to Sept and see these new iPhones and get some fuel for our Saturn rocket in Oct.

When it was first read it, I thought: What a bunch of silly names. UPON googling each word, I find out they are high end car names that would be familiar to millionaire designers from California. I believe there is some truth in the story. Poor or middle class designers in China or Vietnam would not think of making up the story.

FWIW:+ brilliant observation from a British telecom fellow: Which is exactly why I don't see a "cheap" iPhone, no matter how made/configured, in Apple's future. Anybody buying a "cheap" iPhone is just buying the name, they won't use it any differently than they currently do Androids. So what's the value to Apple of iTunes Store and iCloud, if they aren't going to be used? NADA. Then why invest in them? Why buy synergistic Companies that enhance the functionality of the OS/iPhone, if the target customer isn't going to use the enhancements? NADA. Then why buy them? Apple is not investing in ecosystem/infrastructure/technology to attract buyers of cheap handsets that will/do not/can not use the handsets capabilities.

Does Apple make a lot of money from the shuffle or that iPod that looked like a pack of Wrigley Juicy Fruit gum? (Keep in mind I said there would be no iPad mini.....)

2) there is an iPod for every price range. Does Apple make a lot of money from the shuffle or that iPod that looked like a pack of Wrigley Juicy Fruit gum? (Keep in mind I said there would be no iPad mini.....) Those iPod's have clear differences and differentiation. The customer does not get a crap experience with any of them. The struggle with a Phone is what do you give up on the Cheap phone? They will have to run iOS7. How do you dumb it down to a reasonable degree so that it is clearly separated from the flagship? Everything I have heard like plastic cases and less capable cameras sounds like a tweak. Apple is never going to cripple any of its phone so that the experience is damaged. So what has to bend or break? Seems like margins to me.

Options OI Sentiment has reversed to a Bearish bias. This close to earnings it could be a reflection of investor sentiment to what Apple is going to report, or it could be a sympathy reaction to Microsoft's earnings. I can't wait for Apple's Guidance, but have no choice but to do so. Stale products + people waiting for new products = low Q4 guidance. Guidance is not based on "Stale products + people waiting for new products". Guidance is based on revenue expectations, regardless of product age or what customers are thinking. Historically, "Stale products + people waiting for new products" has been the State of Apple going into nearly every FQ4, and only once since F2005 has FQ4 results been lower than FQ3. Further, since F2005 FQ4 results have grown, at minimum, 5.96% YoY. Seven years historical data - 5.96% MINIMUM growth, with all the same conditions we have today. Applying that minimum growth to last year's results indicates, at minimum, FQ4/2013 Revenue of $38.1+ Billion. That means Guidance, at minimum, will be Good. I'm modeling FQ4/2013 Revenue at $40.5 Billion. That's 12.6% YoY growth. Hardly aggressive when you consider that 7 year average growth is 43+% YoY. This is why I'm conflicted about playing earnings. Will the market focus on Earnings, which we already know will be lower YoY, or will the market focus on Guidance which I believe will indicate a return to growth PRECEDING THE DECEMBER QUARTER.

Apple is listed on WSJ 'Buying on Weakness'. We have dividends coming next month so as long as is doesn't crash on earnings we have potential upside.

Been reading reviews of the consumer beta of iWorks. Surprisingly good.
If Numbers can supplant my need for Excel I'm switching.
This has the earmarks of a two pronged attack against Microsoft AND Google.

Bad, bad, bad. Let's see if we can recover before the end. Why is it bad? Thought it is expected behavior for a LD, down to $423-$418 follow by a strong up wave. So far, only $425.55, not inside the price zone yet.

Sorry, what do these names remind you of? Zenvo is a Danish car company that sells high end high performance sports cars. Bertone is an Italian company that has designed cars for several of the most luxurious and high performance sports cars including Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Jaguar, Ferrari. Zagato is a company that designs coaches just as Bertone does for high end sports cars. Me, I drive a 2010 Ford Focus. USA USA USA .... USA USA USA

MSFT getting pummeled today. Off over 10%. If there's "good news" for AAPL I doubt any optimism is baked into the share price.

Lstream...it is a web app living in the cloud tho. You mean work in the window and save when you get Internet again? Only if you download the whole client first. I mean, Numbers is pretty big (256MB on iOS) Yes, from what I see you must be on the web for this to work at all. Not sure if it is an option to load up the app first, which is what I now have on the iPad. I am guessing no.

Lets get to Sept and see these new iPhones and get some fuel for our Saturn rocket in Oct. As long as we're speaking in terms of IF, if Apple performs as I think it will between next Wednesday and next July earnings, I will recapture all of my 2012 through 2013 losses, and then some.
