Deagol nailed GM. Nice. GM guided 36-37% Revs guided to $34-37B. Close enough on the upper end. All will be well, I think. I'm sure iPad will be the next piñata tho. Excuuuuuuse me. I'm going to take credit for nailing 36.924% GM

Mercel, calm down. This is how it is when you're following CNBC Live. Well, WAS. Not now. "You're welcome."

Wish I'd bought that BCS I was staring at, but oh well. We just might have some upside opportunities soon.
Great day so far, and a provisional congrats to the longs!

apples guidance of $34-$37 billion implies a stronger quarter than the $35 billion quarter just passed.
this to me implies it includes guidance for new products.

I'll need more time to crunch the numbers but based on Apple's guidance, we're looking at a high-end implied EPS of close to $8.
I guess when the price is this low, it's "not as bad as feared" with WS, but I'll take it!
Rev range expanded by a billion. Seems to me Oppenheimer is hinting at iPhones for this fiscal quarter, which is no great surprise. Not-so-hot iPad sales this quarter may also not be that big a surprise.

Sleight of hand! FOUL!
Look at Apple, inflating EPS by...maybe .8% more by buying back so many shares! ;D
Mr. Maestr(o) is earning his pay, methinks. That "$18B returned" sounded high, now I know why. Smart of Apple to buy the dip. And it did so without any of us knowing, which is probably giving the bears pause right now. ;D

Good news...,another reminder that new products are coming. Bad news...,another year and a half of trash talking the speculation on what they might be. Definitely getting older as this doesn't amuse me the way it once did. “We are especially proud of our record June quarter iPhone sales of over 31 million and the strong growth in revenue from iTunes, Software and Services,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “We are really excited about the upcoming releases of iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks, and we are laser-focused and working hard on some amazing new products that we will introduce in the fall and across 2014.”

With this repurchase level, I'm growing optimistic the worst may be behind us. The ASPs and iPad estimates hurt my $7.62 # but overall, I'm fine.
And I'm hopeful there will be follow-through with color in the commentary.

True EPS would've been more like $7.30ish without buybacks, but...that's what buybacks are for. ;D WS couldn't care less because of Apple's rock-solid financial condition and rock-bottom valuation. Or maybe it was just the iPhone number, For now, sanity prevails!
