Mercel, the only way you get your YOY beat (with asterisks, most likely) is by Apple beating its net income range guidance. It hasn't done that yet. Yep. I've decided that Apple is likely guiding Sept conservatively, concealing product launches and timing of same. All it takes is a 100 basis point beat on margin without help from any other component of guidance. More likely, if they have a beat on EPS, it will be a combination of sales and margin. I'm also thinking we see 885M diluted shares O/S at the end of Sept quarter. I didn't say it was a lock. A fair chance? I think so.

Well worth the drive over to check it out. I like your EPS number from a couple of different angles.

You can't congratulate me (as much as I appreciate it), and call Giles a buffoon at the same time. OK, I won't congratulate you. Gillis is a buffoon. Just because he is a better dart thrower than you doesn't mean he knows shit about Apple fundamentally. I have to give Lovey credit on convincing me to never, ever watch CNBC.

I was looking for Guidance that would support $40 Billion in revenue. $37 B on the low range of Guidance would have done that. How much above $37 Billion do you figure Apple has sandbagged?

Yeah. Not _that_ again.
Until Apple surprises with more than just new iPhones, I think $38B should be pretty much every analyst or home gamers' estimated revenue ceiling.

Of course, I didn't say no one can reassess with new data . I mean, Verizon actually helped point me in the right direction this quarter.

I was just about to post the same thing! Check out the entirety of the highlights of googles event today: www.theverge.com/2013/7/24/4553020/google-chromecast-nexus-7-event-everything-you-need-to-know1. Nexus 7 refresh - definitely the best thing google released today, and presuming it has decent battery life (unlike the previous model) it looks like some nice hardware, with the critical flaw being that there is a lack of a decent selection of android tablet apps. However its very nice high resolution screen will make it a very nice e reader - better than the iPad mini, but the biggest victim is likely to be Amazons kindle fire. 2. Chromecast. Essentially a HDMI out cable, without the cable. Without a device streaming to it, its literally useless. Imagine the apple TV without its own built-in interface, apps & remote. Its basically just a Airplay receiver for the chrome browser. 3. Android 4.3. A tiny update, with barely any new additions. (Can you imagine if Apple did this for an iOS update - the horror and outrage!) 4.Google Play Games App. WHAT? Android didn't already have a clone of Apples 3 year old game center app? Welcome to 2010 everyone!
