Aren't these the tablets that Microsoft took a $900,000,000 inventory write down on?

Shu Qi is old news since she became your paramour. I like Ni Ni now. Stay away from her. Attachments:

Apple will have plenty of iPhone 5c's to sell online at 12:00AM PST. No need to worry about ordering one and being pushed back a week like last year for the 5. It is the 5s people want. Apple marketing is giving the 5c a head start with online ordering a week early. Simple as that. With 5C's availability in China and Docomo being first day, coupled with 7 day pre-order head start, multiple colors and $100 lower pricing, it appears to me that Apple is making a serious market share move. Anybody want to make a serious, but friendly, first weekend unit sales guess? For all the surfboard wax in China I'm guessing 10,000,000 units.

Since I don't know how many 5S they have to sell, I will guess 8.5 million for the first weekend.

6M is the base case expectation IMHO. Apple will combine sales of the 5C and 5S, but as long as the number is around there I'd hope WS won't get too panicky.
We'll see soon how much of a boost adding China as a launch country can provide.

Those express shippers that _won't_ be involved in shipping iPhone 5S units around the world to people's doors will make 10M a bridge way too far if you ask me.
I'd much rather guess too low, so I'll go with 6M over the launch weekend. I get the 5C marketing, initial numbers will get a huge boost from China, but I'm not gonna dismiss a big element of product prepositioning which would've been in play if 5S pre-orders were possible.
Of course, since there are nine new iPhone shipping days in fiscal Q4 (Sep. 20-28), the quarterly iPhone number can still turn out pretty good depending on supplies.

I'm glad the 5C works on other carriers, but on my and most people's local networks, it will be exactly the same as the 5. I hope Apple sells 20 gazillion of the mofos. But it is basically a year-old phone in a new package, so let's not pretend otherwise. A year old iPhone that addresses 137,000,000 previously underserved subscribers, that have already demonstrated willingness to spend US$1,000, or more, on the grey market for feature crippled iPhones. Let's not ignore that. Gregg, I do believe that 20 Gazillion > 137,000,000.

Add in US first weekend sales of 5,000,000 and impact of China Mobile and Docomo, coupled with modest YoY growth is a shit bucket more iPhones this year than last.

Not that we can use the metric, but I'd love to get some Online Store receipt numbers (first letter and last 6 digits) and time order was placed. Gregg_Thurman@me.com

P/C Ratio of the last 3 trading days has shifted to heavily favor Calls, an indicator of a strong positive sentiment change.
In the last 18 trading days the ratio has dropped from 0.81:1 to 0.59:1. In the past shifts like this have meant a strong move up in the near term.

An example of how the home screen matches the color of the 5C. Image blatantly stolen from PED.

I'm part of the 5S upgrade crowd, but I can't wait to see the 5C in store. You can't fault Apple for sweating the details, that's for sure.

For the weekly options, That's probably more due to all the put holders taking their profits after their massive increase in Put value, and all the call holders not selling and instead letting their calls expire worthless.
