Oh yeah, well aware iPhone is likely to go BigPhone next gen. But I just might be happy enough with my 5S to keep it a whole two years. ;D
One issue Apple wrestles with even now - two sizes of iPhone 6, or move EVERYONE to yet another bigger screen? I'm sure Apple would prefer the latter. Focus and all that. And you get more leeway (inherent space) with tablets than you do with smartphones.

Apple sold off yesterday because WS figured out that 5s sales were not going to impress NEXT Monday because there are only 3 days to sell it this time around (vs. 7 days last year) Can someone explain why a few people have mentioned there are only 3 days to sell this time around? When the phones go on sale Sept 20th, there are still 11 days remaining till the end of the quarter. So 3 days till what?

The checkpoint. Initial sales weekend. Also gives admittedly indirect clues about supply for the rest of the quarter.
Yup, iPhone 5C/5S will keep contributing to sales until the 28th. The difference is the complete lack of preordering in most countries for the 5S. Hence supply constraint fears.

It's the 28th, btw, because of the fiscal year that ends on Saturdays IIRC.

Ah, I see - since the 5 had a week of preorder, preorder through sales weekend is being compared to just a sales weekend (for 5s), yeah? Thanks

Basically, yep. There are plenty of points of sale to move massive #s of iPhone 5S worldwide if Apple had the supply...but do they have the supply?
