Any WSJ subscribers in the house? Looks like a FUD op/ed. "We asked the average Chinese consumer about iPhone" kinda survey, I bet, where maybe 10-20% at most have any serious intent to get the iPhone.
Hope it beats "I asked seven people in Beijing".

No one's quite sure if Apple's servers are even mostly Macs.

No taper causing moderate upside, maybe 50-70 basis points. Woohoo party time. We'll see about today/tomorrow.

Crashed after an hour. Brought back memories of glacial downloads of Mac OS updates over a PowerBook modem.

OK. Paul French WSJ op/ed is moronic. Don't bother Googling for it, I mean it starts off with n-hexane for crying out loud.
NYT, WSJ, every major media publication seems to have it in for Apple. Gimme a break.

Wow. Apparently iPhone 5C got popular.
I mean, Apple is desperately trying to create lines so it intentionally de-allocated online pre-ordering supply.

Here in the UK, shipping times for all colour variations/ storage capacities of the 5c have slipped to 5 business days, expect the white 16Gb, which is 7-10 days.

I'm liking this ad! Something Android OEMs never advertise - design coherence. From hardware to software. I wasn't too sure about the more watermelon colored iPhone 5C, but in the context of the music icon it makes perfect sense now (at least as far as why they chose it). www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO3rsfE7GM0

MACDh is going to flip barring the bottom falling out. And, there's a "cup" formation on the 5-minute chart that may lead to a "handle" forming (which would mean down to about 461-462), then back up if it does indeed form a "cup-and-handle" into tomorrow. Fingers crossed!!!

from the twitter internets of the world wide web:
The release of iOS 7 has millions of people around the world scrambling to get their hands on the latest software for their iPhone. Unfortunately, some of us are running into problems.
First, I got a “Software Update Unavailable” error. I kept trying but then it became a “Software Update Failed” message. I almost started crying when reading “An error occurred downloading iOS 7.0″.
Luckily, I have a buddy who works for Apple. I called him and he told me the trick of how to fix this issue. Follow these steps and your problems will be solved:
1. Restart your device.
2. Disable your Wi-Fi.
3. Turn off your device and keep it off for 5 minutes.
4. Turn your device back on and enable Wi-Fi.
5. Try the download again.
It sounds simple but it works 100% of the time.

Fingers crossed!!! It's picture perfect. At least in my mind... Stellar iPhone numbers over the weekend. Build momentum up to October earnings. Blow everyone away. Release new iPads. Kill the holiday season. Start 2014 off with the iWatch and make it a huge hit. All that aligned with a great technical setup.

I would expect a PR release from Apple about iOS 7 downloads some time over the next week - it must surely set some sort of record for both number of downloads and amount of data downloaded. I mean it took Microsoft several quarters to get 100 million windows 8 installations, whereas iOS 7 should be on 100 million devices in days (hours?). EDIT: here a real time site that monitors iOS 7 adoption mixpanel.com/trends/#report/ios_7Looks like we are already over 10% (70 million installs)
