Red: How is the relative strength looking today? Looking for some insight. Thanks Compared to GOOG or a number of other tech..,or basic materials..or high beta, relative strength was fine. Apple down 1.8%, s and P down 2%, NAZ 2.1, Dow down 1,9% Come Cbingle, if you have a problem with me, just spit it out.

Do we all need to locate our phaser guns?! Ahhh....crappy day but put things in perspective - all will be fine. Monday will separate the men from the boys...and the girls from the women.

UGH - sorry I posted the Chinese story here yesterday - looks like that "bad" macro news had legs and gave the market correction so many were expecting a reason to happen, ick! Is it me, or does it seem we always have a big market selloff/event on our around AAPL earning release day...? perhaps 12 months abysmal relative performance have me always expecting the worst.... i.e. even if we blow the roof off Monday our "pop" will be short lived and temperd for macro FUD... hope not. ok, on to more fond memories - FIRST MAC was a Mac ii ci spend an ungodly amt. in what was probably 1989 (ish) dollars - but also got my first laser printer printing music out on that was a dream come true- never looked back, and that apple laser writer lasted a whole lot longer in the studio than the Mac II ci

Hmmm, I'm thinking of buying 100 shares and then write a covered call, weekly 550 is $16. Looks tempting. Be careful out there. I did that one year ago, figuring the 1Q13 earnings would be big, but we all know how that turned out. The stock went from low 500's to mid-400's that night. Though I made money on the covered call, I took a bath with the stock. My advice to you: set up a stop in after-hours before the earnings announcement.

At least it's across the board and it is nice to see Google down 3% vs Apple's 1.85%! +1 About friggin time on many, many of these high beta names...

First computer ever was a Mac Iicx I believe ... around 1991 when I was in College. When I think of what that could do compared to the computers of today it's unbelievable ... completely destroyed and revolutionized the music industry !!!
The equipment it took to actually write/record/distribute music 15 years ago compared to today is something most couldn't even dream of !
Where we will be in another 10 years is the real question .... especially since it seems technology is improving on a exponential level.
Good luck to the longs on Monday !!!!!

How I loathe weekly options. You should read my biography, Dr. Painlove: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love OpExOr, you could just buy puts. Hmmm, I'm thinking of buying 100 shares and then write a covered call, weekly 550 is $16. Looks tempting. Be careful out there. Yeah, saw that dip and had to remind myself, "don't be a dip-shit." C'mon Timmy, let's have an awesome earnings call, huh?

I really do have to stop parroting in the industry in referring to these names as "high beta tech." I think the term's one of those misnomers, like "parabolic." Okay, rephrase: about friggin time on many, many of these names that keep making one ATH after another for the past year.
