The expert suggests iPhone sales at China Mobile will increase with subsidies in 6-9 months. Yeah, someone posted that video a week or two ago. Good stuff. And the expert actually said that CM felt it didn't need to subsidize for early adopters, up to 20-25 million of them who will buy it right away. After that, then they subsidize for the next wave, 6-9 months down the road. 20-25 million extra iPhones sold over the next 2-3 quarters from CM alone is better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. It's funny hearing American idioms in a Chinese accent, e.g., "game changing" and "BFF." That video was indeed shortly after the deal was announced. China Mobile is offering the iPhone subsidized on a contract unless I have been hallucinating.

But the chart was too small for me to read. About the subsidies I still could be hallucinating, I was after all in college in the 70s.
