Supposedly Beats gear is spurned by audiophiles, so maybe not a surprise the headphones don't show up anywhere on that chart. (Whoops. mace was right) 128kb digital music is also spurned by audiophiles. Even 256kb digital music is spurned by them.

Wait, does this Beats acquisition mean that Apple is going to build an iPhone right into the headset so I can stream music into the headphones without another device? That would be pretty cool.

That would leave you with a product with no UI, no ability to control what music you want, no app, and bulky headphones with crappy battery life. I don't see the point.

Oh ye of little vision.......think iPod shuffle, but integrated into comfortable stylish headphones. I don't know about you, but then I am listening to streaming, all I need is a channel selector and a skip button. And who said anything about size and battery life? I would trust Apple to solve the ergonomics and the battery part of it. There really might be product opportunity here.

Enjoying my first iPad out on the patio w/ the dog. Dare I say, ilovemyipad?
Great deal from T-mobile, $498.96 for an LTE Air. I was already with them with my iPhone 4 that I had switched from AT&T @ $50/mo, and I have the same monthly now, $50, but get 1.4 GB of "free" data on the iPad too until 2015 (then it drops to 400KB - "for life"). I'd always wanted an iPad w/ a cell radio, but they are so expensive. But -$130 and no extra per month, I had to pull the trigger.
I can see why AT&T detests Legere.
Just installed the proboards app for the first time. Not exactly intuitive. The only benefit (detriment?) I can see is that AFB is always 1 click away, rather than a window in Safari that might or might not be there...
IPad Air: Definitely a nice temporary solution for my fat fingers & recent hyperopia until iPhone 6 ships.

Apple will not be rewriting the laws of physics any time soon to lower the power consumption of radios. I think power consumption is relevant because it will screw up the user experience, even if the customer accepts a shuffle-like experience. Besides, who is not carrying a phone with a radio nowadays anyway? A Bluetooth link to the phone to get rid of the wires? Now that is an idea I can get behind.
