More on Beats...from the FT interview:
“Bizarrely maybe, because you haven’t heard a technology CEO say this in a long time, we believe it’s accretive in the fiscal year 15", said Tim Cook, Apple chief executive, in an interview at its Cupertino headquarters on Wednesday.

In other news, Samsung had a big launch on it's health stuff yesterday. Molly Wood covered it for the NYT: Article Here...So, as suspected, the Samsung "Health Event" was that poster to a forum typing "FIRST". Good Job Apple had some actual news to announce, and drowned out such nonsense.

Just finished reading both articles in the times on the beats deal.
Very glowing and I'm starting to be impressed with the deal.

It is such a joy to watch AAPL price targets get smashed, especially ones recently raised

But darn it, it looks like those 450 puts that I wrote a few months ago aren't going to be exercised! Well, still have till Jan '16 to wait.

WOW: How GOOGLE GLASS may compete with iPad. “Imagine you're a worker dealing with a big piece of machinery. Your hands are covered in grease and oil, but you need to complete one of these checklists,” Feiger added. “You can’t hold the tablet in your hand if it’s covered in grease, and Glass means being able to use both hands without constantly stopping to write STEP 1 COMPLETE, and so on. This saves tremendous amounts of time.”www.fastcolabs.com/3031171/the-surprising-reason-oil-companies-love-google-glass

Can we start talking about cars yet? I'm getting a Sportsmobile with AAPL earnings; no prissy Tesla or BMW for me!

Warning: excessive bullishness might mean correction next week... tread carefully...
The road to 700+ won't be a straight line up...

A beautiful pattern the past few days....gap up, consolidate but give back very little, build some volume, move up strong, fall back and immediately recover.....
And it isn't even 2:14 yet.
I would not have thought that 650 by split time was conceivable...but who knows?
And, yes, WWDC could result in a bit of a selloff if Apple does not announce a flying car with home security integration and new Beats music streaming in it. (Note how I got a car reference in there).

I'll still say that 700 is possible before the split. iPad will vouch that I said that over the weekend.

In an attempt to counter the previous transgression, I have to say that I have never been more pessimistic about this stock. I have had it, I am selling my entire position. I am a broken man. Good luck to all of you, but i am out of Apple forever. (Shhhhh, hehehe)

It's that sitting in front of the screen all day thing that I can't do. Otherwise I'd hold positions longer. So if I can book a 50% profit in a few days, I have to.

I'm becoming a momo guy again....which is stupid, but as long as I know I am stupid (and the Commodore reminds me regularly) then I win or lose with awareness. So....on Tuesday bought June 610 straight calls...a chunk....and I have not bought a straight call in almost two years. Use me as a contrarian indicator. The end is nigh.... (oh, and i did slip in a GTC stop limit price today that ensures a 300% gain). I may be stupid, but I'm not dumb... Oh, and its 2:14 Eastern Daylight Time

I am not sure where this post belongs, so please move it it this is not the best place for it. I had another bright idea for a trading strategy, but as usual, I don't know if it is something everyone is already doing or a real opportunity. I'll just put it out here for comments and hope it isn't a complete waste of your time.
I have followed the discussions between TA and FA and have marveled at the precision of things like Fibonacci re-tracements, given that the underlying statistical analysis is flawed. By flawed, I mean that most statistical analysis uses tools that require independent variables while the stock price has at least some evidence of auto-correlation. Despite this, the TA tools work until they don't and seems to have enough validity to inspire the trust of a lot of people who are smarter than me.
So here is the idea. Whether TA is valid or not, if enough people believe in it and use the tools based on it, it will affect the behavior of the market. Specifically, TA will cause predictable behavior such as reversal of a trend at the Fibonaccii predicted levels such as 61.8%. If this is true, doesn't it make sense to take a position slightly outside the Fib range to harvest this?
As an example, if we see a retrace of a gain headed for the 61.8% re-tracement level and sell puts at 75% retracement, wouldn't the belief in TA cause buyers to step in at 61.8% and let the puts expire worthless? Does everyone do this already? If so, how well does it work. If not, what do you think of the idea?

I'm loving the action, however, that huge number of outstanding $590 June calls has me worried. :/

But enough people do to where it is a self fulfilling prophecy. As for your question, I don't front run my triggers. I've done it enough and gotten burned and gotten emotional. I want my trigger and I want it to be clear. Period
