Sure is nice when you don't give unit sales or even shipments of any of your Kindle stuff.
I'll try the AmaPhone at an AT&T kiosk should I ever see one, if only to run a low-level gimmickry/iOS inspiration check. Looking forward to the reviews. Wonder what the inevitable price drop will be (hey, iPhones get discounted too)

I just bought a Weber grill from Amazon. I enjoyed all 142 pounds of free overnight shipping

Question. Who said the following? "Apple has probably fallen behind in innovation – they are still struggling with figuring out the right screen size, while Amazon is racing ahead with innovations, with Dynamic Perspective and Firefly being the most ground breaking innovations …” Answer: Trip Chowdhry According to Trip, Apple should have been out of business by now, since it failed to launch an iWatch under his 60 day deadline. His mind comes from the shallow end of a gene puddle. Amazon announced a crap phone (see Joshua Topolsky's take) and the stock goes up. I'm going to short AMZN if it goes back up above $375 -- WS may be dumb but it won't stay dumb forever. But always remember that WS can remain dumb longer than you can remain solvent to paraphrase an old market adage. I've wanted to short Amazon for a while now, but [luckily] I haven't had the cojones to actually do it.

I'm actually hoping AMZN goes up another $25, before the reviews slam the Fire-Fone. What's with the four cameras on the front? That can't be great for battery life, which is probably the least of its issues. The Kindle Fire caught a break because it was priced like a POS. With the Fire-Fone, it's going to be measured against iPhone 5s. Heh.

I think there's a reason it was priced for margin, unlike any other Kindle so far...
It's amusing how Apple's competition isn't doing itself any favors (not like Apple would make it easy on 'em anyway). 64-bit and Apple's many years of fanatical materials research and fabrication aren't so easy to copy.
Welcome to 2010 btw Amazon (Gorilla Glass back plate). Planning on a white Fire Phone anytime soon?

"Claim Chowdhry" to steal a Gruber line.
