I'm up late catching up on yesterdays wild action. I'll start Wednesday's thread. BTW - Thanks to all who have paid from their own pocket for the group to get an ad free experience! Very nice!!

BTW - Thanks to all who have paid from their own pocket for the group to get an ad free experience! Very nice!! Hear, hear! +100. I think most of us could contribute 1/10th of an AAPL share. I honestly don't see any ads (I have AdBlock, plus Flash disabled, plus a few other things), but I'd like to support the infrastructure to keep this site alive. It's probably already one of the "high traffic" sites here on ProBoards.

I will gladly kick in a share when needed. Ad-free is great. I'm hoping ( but not confident) that yesterday's good volume bounce off the 50 day SMA is what was needed to satisfy the EO greed and we can now begin an announcement/ earnings push into October 24,

I hope so too. But, hope's not an investment strategy I'm using anymore. So, I'm thinking the EO's have lots more evil in them and there will likely be a dip or two more that I'm planning to take advantage of.

Being ad free is much better.

WSJ just posted a report that production has begun on the new iPad mini. While this is old news to many of us, the credibility of WSJ basically makes it a done deal and will also reach a wider audience.
Should be a good day at opening...

Wouldn't they need some customized apps ready before release? A modified SDK for developers?

Looking for a steady stream of green today. Our week wil be determined by tomorrow's jobs report though. At least IMO. Tonight's debate will be a good lead in to that.

There's a good chance the mini would be 1024×768, or the same as the iPad 1. So old apps will work as is.

Anyone with options in play: watch these key Fib levels. Bulls need to take out 666 and never look back. Below 650 (yesterday's LOD), selling will likely accelerate for another leg down. AAPL Intraday 1-Hour Chart

AAPL Intraday 1-Hour ChartThanks for the chart. I clearly thought we will go much lower yesterday once we crossed below 656 (big support) and then tested the 50 SMA. I am still very suspicious about that $11 move in the last 30 min - was it a begin of a reversal, panic covering by shorts after it held the 50 SMA, or simply oversold buying by bargain hunters?? Today will tell us a lot. Already lost all the gains in PM and testing 660 again.

Lovey, how wide do you think the right shoulder needs to be? Which timeframe? Head at what price? If 705, shoulder's wide enough now, but another upwave with a lower high would be uber-bearish.

Ah the old discussion of valid H&S. I have seen H&S that span over 2 weeks only, and I've seen some that were 3 months wide. They are all valid in their own little way.

The mini intraday one hit the measured move on the nose yesterday (see last chart in Chart Talk thread) !!

You trade by minute to minute moves and try to make money either way. I am sure you loved the last several day's wild swings!? ;D Lots of opportunities to make money.

Plato, I aspire to trade with your finesse!! Remember that one day you nailed the bottom when it bounced off the SMA-200 on whatever timeframe it was?! That was damn impressive!! See this one: AAPL Intraday 1-Hour Chart

nice to see AAPL showing some strength in the early going this morning ... although we've all seen too many days where early gains whither and then some before the close
could this be iPad mini related? maybe ... personally, only believe 75% of rumours so far ... but there's far too much coverage, demo's, mockups and internal parts pics for this to be an elaborate fake ... especially since we've seen some major news outlets chime in with iPad mini stories
still waiting for the 'yep' from Jim Dalrymple though

At the online store, the new iPod touch still shows shipping in October. I must confess I have NOT been in an Apple store in the last 2 weeks.
If it is not in the Apple stores as of yet, I expect it might arrive ......?

So far so good. I hope the bs of rising at first and then falling deep into the red doesn't repeat again today.
I'll break even on my weeklies if AAPL hits ~672.
