I read often but rarely post there either. Joined years ago just to read Tommo's posts. He and SNIPUS moved on to SLW and don't post there anymore. You mean SLW = a silver metal trade? Yes.

I was not impressed at all with the AAPL Sanity people on CNBC. The JB guy was an incredibly slow talker (slow thinker too?) so he barely got a valuable word in. The other two were decent at best. They did nothing to further the AAPL cause. Huge let down. Almost like they learned how to speak from Obama a few nights ago.

The lady was dying to say more, but Simon cut her off the one time.

The lady was dying to say more, but Simon cut her off the one time. First, I don't think he had a stutter. If he did, I half apologize for my comment. Actually, I 40% apologize. If you're blind and someone asks you to take a photo for them, you politely decline, right? If he has a stutter, he is a moron for accepting the invitation to go on CNBC to TALK about anything. As for the other two, they clearly were not prepared. They actually attempted to address the questions Simon asked them. Boy is that dumb. When you have a platform you hit your two or three talking points no matter what the question is. The one guy was on to something when he talked about the 4-year compound annual EPS growth rate of 66% but he didn't connect that to share price appreciation so it was a worthless point he made. Overall, I give them an F+. They get the "+" because it could have been slightly worse if there were 2 or 3 slow talkers instead of only 1. Again, if he had a stutter I 40% apologize. I just don't think he had a stutter.

Well I decided that given the manipulation in the stock, I should take advantage of it. So I sold a few shares and bought some aggressive Oct 690 calls for 3.50.
By Monday or Tuesday Oct 15 and 16, I expect the stock to hit new ATH. With so many open interest 750 calls we should be just below that.
We shall see. It is play money for me and if it pays off I will use the proceeds to pay some bills and hold cash for the next sell off in Nov.

11,000 puts (6,800 calls) at 660, so that should hold. At 665, it was 8,481 calls to 9,354 puts, which could easily flip today, which is why I put the range at 660-670.

It looks like we're about to revisit the 650's again. Looking to add (again). I'm guessing/hoping that I'll soon be glad that I went (nonmargin) essentially all in at 659. I enjoyed your city, Rob, and ended up going with O3 for my UCL student's cellular plan, Thanks for the recommendations. It seems like one of the few things that aren't more expensive in London are cellular service plans. AT sounds like SJ in ripping the stutterer... Seek first to understand.

If he has a stutter, he is a moron for accepting the invitation to go on CNBC to TALK about anything. That's a bit harsh, AT. But I'll take your 40% apology on behalf of the gentleman from Louisiana. I am sensitive to people who stutter because my wife is a speech therapist. Stutters have to slow down to get the first word out, otherwise they go into their stutter; that's why he was talking slow. You'll notice that with John Stossel on Fox, because he is a former stutter, who successfully overcame it, but still must make a conscious effort from slipping back. In Stossel's case, he has had a significant amount of professional help, which is why he looks near flawless on TV.

I have nothing against stutterers but come on, going on live national TV to talk about anything if you have a stutter is beyond ridiculous (I wanted to use another R word but I didn't). And what does that say about whomever at AAPL Sanity elected to put him on? I'm sure they have other people there that would have been better. Anyhow, it's a lost opportunity but no biggie in the grand scheme of things. Just funny to see those guys fumble so incredibly badly.
