Lucky. No doubt there's luck involved. AAPL is in the hands of the EOs now, and I'm thankful they can't F me on any near term positions. I'd sure like the name of the fat fingered trader, if he or she is to blame. We had a good run. Everyone knows Apple is going to have an exceptional January report, and the strength of the IPhone 6 and 6+ demand could very well give a surprise in guidance for the next quarter. I think the anticipation of this was pulling us toward 120 and beyond. All that is still in place. Nothing has changed except for a contrived and unexplained manipulation of the market. My guess is that the rise toward 150 will resume shortly. I am pretty sure this will happen because it is what I want to have happen

In addition to knowing the name of the guy whose finger should be chopped off, I really wish these fucking WS analysts and sell-side fund managers had accessible e-mail addresses so we could flame them like Dresden when they pull some chickenshit move like Morgan Stanley did this week. Believe me, I've looked. The truth is, there was no TA of FA or any other A reason for this drop; just Zebras at the waterhole who thought they heard a lion.

There is a good article by John Martellaro on The Mac Observer (remember them?) site: www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/for-a-big-company-apple-lets-too-much-fall-through-the-cracksHe makes the point–which I think is extremely accurate–that Apple pays enormous attention to a few star products, but lets many others fall through the cracks. The lack of state-of-the-art displays, the slowness in updating AppleTV and the Mac Mini, the abandonment of Aperture ... and so many others seems somehow wrong for a company with what must be tens of thousands of engineers. Is there just not enough talent in the company to effectively multitask on a higher plane? This may have nothing to do with the stock market value of the company, but I would certainly prefer that Apple could stay at the cutting edge of everything it touches, not just the anointed rainmakers.

Remember, it's all about focus. Saying no to 1000 things. I admit it can be maddening at times, but the bigger Apple gets, the more important it is to remember the Wisdom of Steve. I've been critical of iOS8, and after upgrading to Yosemite I am having intermittent connectivity problems among the devices on my local network, e.g., sometimes the Remote app on my iPad won't connect to iTunes on my Mac. If anything, I'm more worried about the focus that seems to be missing on recent software product. But it IS nice to see your avatar back, Firestorm. EDIT: Wow, the icon appears in the message composition screen, but not when displayed in the thread!
