This may be what I've been waiting for. Those hedge funds that have been having such a bad year ... finally getting into something that ought to improve their performance over the remaining months of 2012. At least a little.

We got a nice 6 inches of snow last night, and it's continued all day. It's a nice day to sit inside with the wood stove cranked. Where are you??? Lake Tahoe. Get your ski passes now!

Daily SMA-100 = 627-ish. Very bullish if we can close over that! How's that grab you, Ms. IPad? We closed 7 points higher than your "Very bullish". This should add significantly to your "Wheeee..."

This is a bona fide breakout. It's OK if I miss some of this - but I do have enough in the market to enjoy it. AAPL @ 634 closed higher than Friday's open (630ish) _and_ Thursday's close (632ish). what about Tuesday last week when we had the big green day which looked like smooth sailing and all greatness going forward. Granted, today's move was massive, but also comes after a massive down day that scared a lot of people. i hope it is THE breakout, but people are being cautious it seems to make sure after how last week tricked people (or at least me)

Wow. Today had the most powerful upward move we've seen this downwave. I figure that counts for something.

Many traders must have been tempted to take profits in the last five minutes. Why deal with the uncertainty of a new product release? Other than a near-vertical upside, of course.

terps,
Hopefully I'm not being imprecise. But this is a tremendous breakaway from the markets.
I don't have an opinion about tomorrow, but with shorts failing all day to slow AAPL down I can't imagine they're feeling encouraged right now. I'm still gonna play this week very cautiously, as a personal choice.

I think we'll be event driven through the rest of the week, though that statement might be too obvious to mention. It will be good to get out of TA hell.

Watching Redler's Daily Recap live right now. He used the term breakout, so good enough for me. As for today's awesome green candle: It engulfed the downward move but it didn't engulf AAPL's Friday close. OTOH: Higher high. Lower low.

Besides ATT, Another tell for direction of stock and color on uptake for the 5 and mini in Q4 will be Broadcom earnings on Tuesday after close.
If they guide BIG for this Qtr, Apple should sustain and other Apple chip suppliers should swing upwards - Tqnt reports Wednesday and then Crus next Monday and SWKS next Thursday

A little off topic I guess but I just cant believe the contrast between this board and the yahoo board. It has gotten to the point where I think im even done looking at that board its just so awful.
My point is that this board is a very very good board. The best so far that I have seen.

This could be aapl's biggest week of the year. Just an early prediction. Of course this will require a good guidance and earnings report coupled with a surprise at tomorrow's event. But I say we hit top of BB band in the 700 zone. 90 dollars 1 week haha Just my guess haha

Lake Tahoe. Get your ski passes now! Ah, haven't been paying attention to weather reports the past few days--just the widget on the desktop. So all I knew is I have 2 more days of sunny & 60s for getting firewood laid in before things change. Thanks to you I now know where it's coming from ;-)

How do you like your ginormous bullish engulfing candlestick, everybody? Classic signal for a bottom if I'm remembering my candle theory correctly.
