Just grabbed a few shares at 582's. I couldn't pass up on the hope that this dip is over. I had to grab as a long term I can't see myself being able to get much lower.

I also like how people give me negative karma because Im a Romney supporter. Hmm, I tend to think that end of the world posts every time apple gets hammered, which does literally emit negative karma/energy/etc, is my bet on why you were given negative karma lol

OK, I was sent this by a friend in Ohio. This may be the funniest thing you hear all day (a caller into a radio show, not political, just funny). I will have to say, if females in Wisconsin think like this, we need to changes the voting laws in Wisconsin. Truly hilarious unless you think like this woman caller. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI8UPHMzZm8&feature=shareAbout 25 yards north of my house is a local deer crossing. My dog alerts me just about every night around 8 pm. I'll have to keep this video under cover for a while from single female friends for a while. Also, is this Wisconsin or North Dakota ? I could not listen to the end at this early hour.

$3M is a strong number. I went to the apple store twice to see it and it is a fantastic product. I was totally shocked at how much i liked it. So I did my own little local polling and talked to everyone around me and all of them had the same reaction. All of them read all the negative reviews and were aware of the screen etc.. It seems consumers are getting smarter but all of them were like the screen looks fine, the device feels premium and light and everyone was a bit confused on all the negative publicity. They were honestly confused at how much they liked it compared to what they read on CNN and NBC News.
I went next door to coach and was talking to the girls in there about it and they both said "I heard that it's not good and worse than the Kindle Fire. I was like !!!!!! what the heck. My take is once all the initial media FUD dies down this thing will just keep selling and selling. The screen is nice and big and usable. I'm getting the LTE version.
Also kids in there were floored by it. Like grinning ear to ear.
I also picked up 3 more option spreads on Friday so i'm more and more in on AAPL.

Wheeles, is 600 a resistance level? Thanks. It's a big round number. It also happens to be where the 1H upper Bollinger is. Personally, I am looking for a run higher than 600, but we could see it stall at that level. Much depends on how many shorts overstayed their welcome.

Horace just tweeted wondering if MSFT released weekend surface sales........ Played with the surface at the microsoft store. Here is my take and falls in line with how Steve and Tim look at tablets and laptops. The Sufrace is more servicable as a laptop than a tablet. As a tablet it's awkward. 100% unusuable in portrait b/c of it's long skinny design. It's just unweildy. As a laptop with that cover it's actually quite usable and i did like it using it like that. however.... you can only use it on a flat surface and not on your couch or anywhere else since the kick stand and cover with keyboard need to be on something flat. It's not going to sell well. Mediocre tablet and mediocre laptop. You need to either be a tablet or a laptop and do each well, not each half assed. ie. cars that also fly and can ride in the water. To much compromise with the experience of each. I did kind of like Windows 8 though. Surprised that I did. Totally different way of computing vs how Android just copied iOs.

Hm..."The Wi-Fi + Cellular versions of both iPad mini and fourth generation iPad will ship in a few weeks in the US and in many more countries later this year."
Well, as long as "Mid November" is "before Black Friday", I guess. I can't imagine Tim missing out on that, even if supply isn't exactly where he'd want it to be.

I'm hoping the daily 200 EMA at 582.31 will put a floor under things.
EDIT: Now need to break over the 10m 200 EMA at 587.75 and make a run for the hourly 200 EMA at around 613.

Melissa said "when they came out with the combined ipad sales number I almost thought they were trying to hide something" ... implying mini sales were not good .....
Brian White was fantastic ... he has a $1111 target and is sticking to it. He thinks the margins will be much better than Apple originally stated ... we all know what that means as this quarter will be the largest in Apple's history per revenue basis.
Explains that Apple's supply constraints are determining sales ... in other words they are selling every unit they make ! (iPhone5 and iPad mini) [/quote]

If I have a sell limit order on some calls, shouldn't it execute when the bid reaches my limit?

And it CAN be got for free. Although I do believe as in the past the Chinese person wanting an iPhone will go to heroic lengths to garner one of said golden tools of witchcraft.

If I have a sell limit order on some calls, shouldn't it execute when the bid reaches my limit? If you have 'All or None' checked, then there's a chance your order might not get filled because there isn't any buyer to buy ALL the calls you want to sell in one shot. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Glad to see you checked in, Raj. Wasn't sure if you are in the US or India. If the latter, could you comment on the availability of IPhones in India. I saw that AAPL has about 2.1% share, and Samesung about 50%. Apparently, AAPL has a new deal with one of the carriers, so it should help. But the price seems to be very high, which is going to limit the user base.

Of course, 613 doesn't have to be in play TODAY.
I'd almost take a green day on relative strength, period. Though of course I want stronger signs that AAPL's done selling off.
Market's dealing with immense uncertainty right now and maybe even for the rest of the year. The picture will hopefully clear for a bit this week.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I bet you're right. Don't forget supply demand constraints and your place in line. IE if I preempted your order at the same limit a few minutes before you I'm due ahead of you as well

Today's action is good, but not exactly the short-burning rocket launch I was hoping for. What's your take, Wheeles? Personally, the only SMA I look at is the 20 SMA which is my middle Bollinger. I prefers EMAs. Often we see people hanging their hopes on an SMA only to see the price collapse through it and the fall ending at the EMA. As for the short-burning. I reckon that will come when the 10m 200 EMA is broken (and possibly retested from the other side). For many that will be a line in the sand. Then the 1H 200 EMA will come into the reckoning as an upside target. If that gets hit, then we will need to watch for a significant pullback (eg 50% of this move up, maybe more). We've seen that sort of thing plenty of times in the past, and it catches most people out and can be quite brutal. No guarantees, just be on the watch for such a move.
