Al, that would send me back to the drawing board. Which is the usual state of the Elliotician.

My friend Shift in Avi's trading group made this lovely chart with the "idealized" wave and Fib targets:

My friend Shift in Avi's trading group made this lovely chart with the "idealized" wave and Fib targets: If AAPL was @ IV when it hit $505, I guess it is too much to ask for AAPL to get to V in 3 days.

Rick, there was a lot worse than that in there. Geeeez. 473, yikes. My take is that he does not think the selling is over. WTF?

He did say $500 is a clear possibility but $473 is less likely. The higher AAPL goes I think he infers those possibilities become even more unlikely. I'm rooting for AAPL to go up and never see those lows.

I did not take any comfort from his article. I was really hoping the 4th wave was over.

Well, because Avi is long AAPL calls right now, I'm at least inclined to listen to what he has to say. AAPL consolidating is fine for now but if it can't regain some lose ground into the Santa Rally, then it's quite possible that there's still more selling to be done. It's too early to tell. AAPL $470s is EXTREMELY unlikely. Any revisit to the $520s would be a buy point for me (though with plenty of time, and only if conditions seem OK enough for the buy).

His IF/THEN goes something like this:
Although it's entirely probable that AAPL bottomed, we're in a Wave 4 until proven otherwise...
Proof otherwise:
= reclaiming more than 61.8% of the move from 652.79 to 505.75 = 596.62 = retracing less than 61.8% of the move from 505 to xxx (where xx is however far we've come to date)

So by staying above 530, or more preferentially attaining 592, we avoid another swoon from Wave 4.

Have I shared my most bullish count scenario yet? (It's not Avi-approved as yet -- he first needs to see how far this upwave goes and how far the retrace goes.) My uber-bullish EW count... AAPL-EW DAILY CHART:

Just a tiny bit further to reclaim > 61.8% of the downwave from 652.79: AAPL-EW DAILY CHART: This chart has always bugged me for some reason. Just can't accept it I guess. The one above seems more to my thinking. Seems pretty well laid out, nothing funny. This chart is a cluster F........

Until I see signs of weakness (bearish divergence? Haven't looked), things are looking AWESOME...

Mark: Well, I do have more detail in the clusterf- chart. Okay, one way we'll know if the I-II chart is closer to the mark....that little jaunt from 363 to 644 will look like a mere appetizer to the upcoming move.

So what does EW (Avi) say to this situation? Wait a littler longer?
