I put a stink bid in at 135.02 for half of my dividends playing for the pin.

Pleasantly surprised to see AAPL holding up so well on a RED day. Was expecting it to correct a bit today, at the very least to pin at $135.
Let's hope my Puts expire worthless -- every one of the next 3 weeks...
Though I will admit that the more AAPL goes up without correcting the more Puts I am likely to buy. Relatively inexpensive insurance.

Relatively inexpensive insurance. If buy every weeks, they add up... when would you stop buying puts? I find buying protective puts are very tricky especially when IV is high... become so expensive, you have to wonder, probably better to either close both eyes and hold the shares/ calls or just close them. Could you share your approach in managing long puts? After years I am still lost. Thank you in advance.

Big symmetrical triangle. Could resolve up or down. My bet is on it being down

Another nice rally into the close. This is the AAPL I like to see. Congrats to all the longs!

Just looking at AAPL, Dow, NASDAQ and S&P they all had a run up shortly before the close. Any theories?

Big symmetrical triangle. Could resolve up or down. My bet is on it being down I think should not hope that it is a symmetrical triangle because it usually resolve in the same direction as the first entry which is up. Double heads would be more bearish. Monday open rush to $136-7 then come back down late in the day... that would be bearish.

Perhaps worth noting that the markets are closed Monday for Presidents Day. Entropy: I was just kidding. Mace: I rarely buy Puts for the reasons you cite. Like many here, I have trouble deciding when to sell. Was kicking myself for not lightening up a bit just before the last All Time High after which we dropped significantly. The length of the run (isn't this the 7th consecutive Green Week?), the high 'overbought' condition, the recognition that things don't go up in a straight line forever were all factors. I sold some January '18 Calls I was holding, bought the puts and am sitting on some cash waiting for a buying opportunity (BTFD). I do anticipate a correction in here somewhere. Most likely the week after my Puts expire for those of you looking for a good indicator...

If I were betting it would be to sell covered calls and join the evil overlords.

Definitely a strong close on a monthly options expiry Friday. There was a net 7500 call wall at 135. Net 12,500 at 136: I'm seeing the IDH as 135.83. But always nice to have an ATHC, especially on a Friday.
