You're right. I was going from the annual report numbers I read on Saturday which are not current. Edit: WFC holding is larger than KO so AAPL is #3 I guess.

Just a thought, I am not expecting much of a bump up on the news Warren Buffet bought moving forward. No one buys that much AAPL in a vacuum, I venture a guess everyone on the trading floor already knew.
my 2¢

We have been trading between 135-137 for two weeks. Come Thursday I am betting on a move up towards 140.
In cash for the moment.

In addition to the sentiment shift we get from Warren Buffett taking such a large stake in Apple, in effect he's like part of the share buy back program taking shares out of circulation. He's an investor not a trader and holds his positions for very long periods of time. When the news first came out he was buying, IMO it became another reason why accumulation has been so sustained in addition to upcoming tax reform and the tenth anniversary Iphone. I've owned Apple since 2006 and I'm feeling much more comfortable now than most any other time I can think of. Cheers to the longs!

Struggling to break past 137. But at least not falling below.
Still on track to hold short-term calls till we hit 138.50 - 139. Maybe in a day or two.

What I found especially interesting was the fact that Buffett had personally made the investment decision, adding to the earlier purchase of Apple stock by one of his two investment managers.

It seems WB himself instigated the entire investment: fortune.com/2017/02/27/warren-buffett-apple-shares/"He also owned up to the fact that Apple is one of the legendary investor's own stock picks, and not one chosen by his lieutenants."

Here is the relevant part of the transcript: "Quick: On what? Is it more Apple, more airlines? Buffett: Since we're not buying it now — it's at a price different than I would buy it now. But we bought a lot more Apple after year end. Quick: With the holdings that you'd had, Apple was already ... was it the fifth biggest holder, the third biggest? Buffett: I think we showed $59 million, or something like that. Quick: Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm just looking through the report right now to grab that page. Yeah, it was already your fifth-biggest holding as of Dec. 31 at $7 billion. How much more did you buy? Buffett: Well, it... Quick: $7 billion. Buffett: You know, we could change our mind tomorrow and all of that, but we have not bought Apple in the last ... well, since the earnings report came out because it shot up some then. But we would have, one of the fellows in the office has about 10 million shares, and I have for Berkshire's account about 123 million. So, we got about 133 million shares. Quick: One of the fellows ... that's Todd or Ted? Buffett: Yeah. Quick: Would you care to say which one? Or? Buffett: I never identify which one does which. Quick: So, one of them bought, and then you as a result bought some additional? Buffett: One of them had had 10 million shares, and then I bought another 123 million shares, or something like that. Quick: Why? Buffett: 'Cause I liked it." I presumed he was referring to the 9.8 million Apple shares that Berkshire Hathaway held in March 31 2016: www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1067983/000095012316017295/xslForm13F_X01/form13fInfoTable.xml
