Prayers for all affected in Manchester. These cowards will never pay a severe enough price for this one.

Credit Suisse reiterates $170 PT and ups EPS from $10.77 to $11.62 (street is at $10.44). IPhone 8 will "drive earnings above expectations." finzine.com

India is a much poorer country than China. We won't see China-level growth, but this is a good step forward for the longer term. India won't move the needle for a while yet.

I agree, it's unlikely we see China-level growth, at least in the short term. But given how Apple has been working hard to gain access to the Indian market, I can only assume they see tremendous potential in the years to come. Even if a small percentage of India's BILLION PLUS people can afford an iPhone, that can still work out to be some large figures.

I just talked to a friend who is from India. His comment was "They lover their Apple/iPhones". Yes, there are a lot of poor, but there is a significant middle class that can afford the iPhone. They currently earn less than North America, but pay more for the iPhone than we pay (in NA). If there is a reduced price for the iPhones there (locally built, no import taxes etc) they should sell really well.

As a long term Apple investor I owe just about everything I've made to chronic underestimation. Seriously though, I of course hope you're right, it's just that I'm not willing to bet on any timeframe for massive India growth.

I have been using a pair of airpods for a month or two and I am impressed. I think the long term direction here is to make the combination of iWatch, Airpods and Siri do most of the functions of the iPhone.

To me a device with a large-ish screen will continue to be indispensable.
