AAPL continues to look good, even though it was denied in its attempt to get back over $160. Hopefully it won't take too long to regain its ATHs.
Question for the board...Where do people turn for generally reliable/good/solid business news online (including Apple news)? I'm looking for a change in how I get my fix of news. I usually frequent CNBC which is okay, but I'm sick of Yahoo Finance which I have used to find an aggregate of Apple stories. Despite using an Ad Blocker, the site is littered with "sponsored" content making the whole experience frustrating. It also seems to be over-populated with plenty of hack/opinion pieces from the likes of Business Insider and the Forbes contributor network (i.e. Gordon Kelly, Ewan Spence, etc...their trash takes frustration to a whole new level, even as I stop at the headlines).
Any input is welcome! Go AAPL!

FWIW, I received a text yesterday from T-Mobile trying to get me to upgrade to the iPhone 7 , it said it was it's best deal ever which makes sense as carriers are probably trying to clear the channels in anticipation of the the 7s. I would think we should see some type of invite here in the next two weeks .....
Cheers to the longs !

I'll second tech investor.com/Apple. It sounds like just what you are looking for (minimum ads); not sure how much of the cruft they filter out, though (it's been three or so years since I used it), but at least the site is compartmentalized by topic and they do list the authors/source to aid in your filtering.

Any input is welcome! Go AAPL! I was thinking the exact same thing this morning, when trying to find a reason for the bump up while many things were flat. While I generally don't think one thing is ever completely the cause, and too often causes are given that don't really matter much (i.e. reiterated target, and the stock is up .4%!) sometimes things do help. It looks like today's might have been the renewed interest in tax reform, with supposed agreement from the "Big 6". www.politico.com/story/2017/08/22/trumps-team-and-lawmakers-making-strides-on-tax-reform-plan-241873I had been using yahoo finance for basically the past 20 years to give stories. I didn't mind some of the ads, but now it also screws with the ordering or something. It's just not working well for me anymore...though as per before, I'm trying to read a lot less of the stories. For the last few years I've often just looked through the titles on the iPhone stock app, and opened them sometimes. I like that....except that I often have trouble hunting down a story if it drops off the recent 10 list before I open it. I'll check out www.techinvestornews.com/Apple next time. Thanks! (My son and I drove 500 miles to see the full eclipse in OR. A fun quick trip worth missing the first day of the school year, until we hit "night paving" on I-80, after driving home for 6 hrs. The iPhone didn't manage to get any full-eclipse pictures (an old 5s, but other phones didn't work either, though possibly a simple zoom vs light balance problem that could have been solved if planned for or there were a few more minutes....partial eclipse photos through a filter worked ok), but it was a cool sight to see. Maybe not life-changing, but it was an experience we'll remember)

For $10 a month Phillip Elmer Dewitt's Apple 3.0 is a pretty good site - would be a great site if PED would keep his hatred of Trump in check.
