AAPL is RED as well, trading at $158.20 -0.08 (-0.05%). Now AAPL is up about 1.7, bouncing around close to 160.00 I've got to remember on these active weeks to take a look at the options. While they don't always steer the stock in a major way, there's been a lot of times of these active weeks (normally due to earnings or an announcement) where the stock either ends up where it was a week ago, or options steer the Friday closing price. Yahoo shows open interest for the 160 calls at 91.5k. Even with the stock up close to $2, those calls are down 75% from closing, to .16 (but it may be that their options quotes are still on a 15-20 minute delay). There's also about 60k at 165, and 55k at 170. All 3 will expire worthless at 160. Likewise, on the puts side there are almost 53k at 160 (they've dropped in value by 80% to under .4), and another 50k at 155, both that will expire worthless at a close of 160. Unless stock volume takes off today, or a whole lot of these options are closed during the day, I'd expect a close within a couple pennies of 160. And my conviction is high enough that if I saw those volumes yesterday afternoon, I'd place a tiny bit of money on it. Coulda shoulda woulda....but also just happy to be long. (OTOH, today's volume on those 160 calls is already 63k, so if all of that was closing out, it could nullify that lump of calls)

"...when Apple architects silicon, they start by looking three years out, which means the A11 Bionic was under development when Apple was shipping the iPhone 6 and its A8 chip." The inside story of the iPhone X 'brain,' the A11 Bionic chipP.S. Personally as an architect I dislike the use of the word as a verb instead of a noun!

Good call, 4aapl.
Anyone ordered an iPhone 8/8+ today? Seems like there's ample supply.

AAPL up for the day on heavy volume. Not bad at all.
I think the iPhone X is going to be so big that sales of the 8 and 8 plus might look disappointing at first. So we may have six weeks of "the sky is falling" before the X is available. And will supply of the X then be able to meet demand? So much to worry about.

If they can ship 40-50MM units by the end of the year, they should be able to easily meet revenue and profit expectations given the high ASP, stronger dollar and strength of other products. And Q2 should be a blowout.

Good call, 4aapl. Anyone ordered an iPhone 8/8+ today? Seems like there's ample supply. Yeah, picked up an iphone 8, 256 GB. I'm moving up from a 6s. I debated the iphone X for a while, but the 8 will be a nice upgrade on its own.

Yeah, picked up an iphone 8, 256 GB. I'm moving up from a 6s. I debated the iphone X for a while, but the 8 will be a nice upgrade on its own. What provider and why? I didn't even think of the new iPhones today (busy painting and moving large rocks), but plan to order an 8 with 64 GB, 4 times the amount on my old 5s. We've been with AT&T the last 3.5 years, Verizon for 2 before that, and AT&T before then. Coverage can vary here in the mountains....but I'm still tempted to try out Sprint/Virgin. It's those little risks in life

The architects Foster and Partners have detailed information on the Steve Jobs TheaterA taster: "Over two years and many mock-ups, the design team developed a unique process of curving the wood flooring planks and grain to match the arc of the seating rows".

It's those little risks in life AT&T. Used them for the last 6 years with decent service. I'm not opposed to switching to another carrier, I just haven't had a good enough reason to switch.
