As always, thank you for starting the thread. That Motley Fool article was one of the best I have read for a while. It sounds like some serious CPU power in the A11 chip. This is the kind of slow, difficult, behind the scenes progress that makes Apple such a great company and such a solid investment. In football we used to say "one good lineman is worth 3 good backs". This difficult work to every aspect of the fundamental technologies in both hardware and software is worth more to me that a dozen new features or apps.

Apple's progress in chip development is one of the under appreciated developments of the past few years, and is the foundation on which both its functionality and performance will continue to separate themselves from the competition. Besides enabling Apple to provide unique functions, it will also enable unprecedented cooperation and division of labor between hardware and software.

How many price targets does Huberty? This was reported on September 12: "Huberty raises her price target on Apple to $253 from $205, after concluding AR can boost the company's services revenue by almost $9 billion over the next three years." Perhaps $253 is her 'blue sky scenario' PT.

Anybody still holding Liquid Metal (LQMT)? I bought a whopping $1,500 worth a few years ago when Apple was "working with" GT Advanced on sapphire. I hadn't looked at the price in a while - it's up 60% from where I bought, so I sniffed around looking for a reason. It seems people were thinking the back of the iPhone 8 and X would be liquid metal. Despite that, the stock keeps going up... www.jasonbondpicks.com/blog-posts/76572/

Bought 4000 shares @ ~27¢/ share a long time ago. I missed the boat on buying additional shares when it dropped to ~ 6¢ /share, I should have loaded up. Shares are in a small Roth IRA, here's hoping for a good return.

Anyone upgrade to IOS 11 yet? Yes! Have the IOS11 Gold Master running on both an older iPad Air and an iPhone 6, so far so good! iPhone seems quite snappy and only had a few older Apps that were not 64bit ready.

True but it is confusing when Barrons report Huberty having a $253 PT and then 5 days later they run another report stating Huberty has a PT of $194: Apple benefits when it raises prices, says Morgan Stanley
